Imira

Imira mirrors the phone screen and audio to a Miracast sink - a TV or an HDMI dongle - over Wi-Fi Direct. No app on the TV, no cables, no network: the phone talks to the sink directly. As far as I know this is the first working Wi-Fi Display source for Sailfish OS.

sailfish-browser-next

Experimental Gecko ESR140 (Firefox 140) browser for Sailfish OS 5.1. Sailfish OS currently ships a browser based on Gecko ESR91 from 2021. This is a community port of the far newer ESR140 engine. ### Installs alongside the stock browser Every package in this stack carries a "-next" suffix and uses its own directories and profile. The system browser is not touched, not replaced and not modified in any way — both browsers appear in the app grid and can be used side by side. If you want to remove the port later, uninstalling the -next packages leaves the stock browser exactly as it was.

JavaScript components for the EmbedLite embedding layer: download handling, camera and microphone permission dialogs, prompts, login manager and user agent overrides — all migrated to the ESM module system required by Gecko 140.

IrCam

IrCam turns the InfiRay P2 Pro USB-C thermal camera into a live thermal viewfinder with real temperature measurement on Sailfish OS. The camera is a standard UVC device, so the kernel presents it as /dev/videoN and the app reads it over V4L2 - no udev rule and no sandbox hole needed. It decodes the camera's own 16-bit per-pixel temperature plane, so the readings come from the sensor, not from the colours. Everything runs on the device - no network, no cloud, no telemetry.
