zlib1g

zlib is designed to be a free, general-purpose, legally unencumbered -- that is, not covered by any patents -- lossless data-compression library for use on virtually any computer hardware and operating system.

Some apps like aria2 require zlib1c package though it's just actually "Debian-style" name of zlib.

libtasn1

Libtasn1 is the ASN.1 library used by GnuTLSGNU Shishi and some other packages. It was written by Fabio Fiorina, and has been shipped as part of GnuTLS for some time but is now a proper GNU package.

It's required for new versions of GNUTLS. There is no entry in documentation about that BTW.

nettle

libgmp

GMP is a free library for arbitrary precision arithmetic, operating on signed integers, rational numbers, and floating-point numbers. There is no practical limit to the precision except the ones implied by the available memory in the machine GMP runs on. GMP has a rich set of functions, and the functions have a regular interface.

The main target applications for GMP are cryptography applications and research, Internet security applications, algebra systems, computational algebra research, etc.
