libpipeline

libpipeline is a C library for manipulating pipelines of subprocesses in a flexible and convenient way.

less

less is a program similar to more, but which allows backward movement in the file as well as forward movement. Also, less does not have to read the entire input file before starting, so with large input files it starts up faster than text editors like vi. Less uses termcap (or terminfo on some systems), so it can run on a variety of terminals. There is even limited support for hardcopy terminals.

sysbench

SysBench is a modular, cross-platform and multi-threaded benchmark tool for evaluating OS parameters that are important for a system running a database under intensive load.

The idea of this benchmark suite is to quickly get an impression about system performance without setting up complex database benchmarks or even without installing a database at all.

Current features allow to test the following system parameters:

cpufrequtils

cpufrequtils is used to control the CPU frequency scaling deamon (speedstep, throttling, ...).

This package mainly has 2 programs:

/usr/bin/cpufreq-info

/usr/bin/cpufreq-set

It's basically a user-friendly alternative to using the Sys interface.

Frequency scaling allows you to set the CPU frequency on-the-fly or specify an automatic governor. By lowering the CPU frequency when your computer is idle, you can preserve a lot of battery power and keep the system cool.

libsysfs

These are a set of utilites built upon sysfs, a new virtual filesystem in Linux kernel versions 2.5+ that exposes a system's device tree. The current version of sysfsutils includes the following:

nokia City Lens

City Lens makes finding the best of what’s around you as simple and natural as looking. City Lens uses your phone’s camera display to reveal the best shops, restaurants, and points of interest as virtual signs overlaid on the buildings right in front of you, so you instantly see what’s there. Simply tap a place’s icon to see more information, get directions, or share it with friends—all within the camera viewer. Tap again to see full place information like hours, reviews, and contact information. Tilt your phone upright and City Lens brings up additional view options like list or map view.

nokia World gaze

Nokia 3D World Gaze gives you a new kind of viewpoint to the world, allowing you to see through the surface (and insides) of the planet all the way to the other side. Just point your phone to some direction and you will see reality in a way you have never seen before. In addition to geographical features such as continents in their real physical locations, Nokia 3D World Gaze allows you to see geotagged media, day and night regions, current location of the Sun, and other content from locations around the world.
