I get an error when I play a video (internal data stream error)

Mister_Magister's picture

Is it older device? Maybe video is obscure…

try the avc1 switch in settings

I've been trying out Microtube for the past few days all was ok. But unfortunately I had to reflash. Now, my subscriptions are refusing to appear(they are there but not visible, check photo link pls) and i cant tell exactly why(many relaunches, restarts, and clearing cache)

Also, Im only noticing it now, but are subscriptions supposed to get automatically updated on every launch?

Mister_Magister's picture

yes they are supposed to be updated automatically, on every launch and when you enter subscriptions page, but only in (past 10 now 30) minute intervals so if 30 minutes didn't pass they wont update

also next update will fix it

For the client ID creation of the OAuth2, is your SFOS app a “web application” or a “TV application”? Because it probably can’t be an Android, IOS or Windows application.

NGC_Ollie's picture

Sorry, my sentence was misleading. I don't see any video. Also no update in my subscriptions, no search results. Version 3.4.0

Mister_Magister's picture

ah yes, then its the lib i was using for search, it's obsolete anyway. If you will be kind enough to wait couple days, new microtube willl release very soon and it shall be fixed

NGC_Ollie's picture

I just updated and everything is working again, thanks a lot, nice work!

NGC_Ollie's picture

Hey there! Is it just me or did YouTube actually change something and there is no video anymore?

Mister_Magister's picture

I think it might be just you mate or specific video. If there's audio but no video make sure you don't have enabled audio only mode (in settings -> quality selector)

other than that try restarting microtube as it updates the js libraries on boot.

Matias's picture

Search no longer works for me, it just loads the front page or stays blank

Mister_Magister's picture

https://github.com/TimeForANinja/node-ytsr/issues/206

once this is fixed seach will return

Mister_Magister's picture

Confirmed, that mostlikely means change in node side

lpr's picture

is there any reason that the app requires SFOS4.5 or shouldn't it work with older versions, too?

If it should work with older versions then adding %define _binary_payload w2.xzdio in the .spec file and .yaml file is required to switch rpm compression back from zstd to xz (older SFOS cannot handle zstd) https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/q-4-5-will-switch-rpm-compression-what-do...

Mister_Magister's picture

I mean sure but why? just update

lpr's picture

as a Jolla1 user, I can't.

I can update gstreamer to newest 1.22.x , libjpeg-turbo , openssl1.1.1 , glib2 and qt5 from SFOS4.0 and 4.1 , newer libsolv even libzstd ... , but I doubt I can easily Install newer rpm/libzypp versions when looking at their build-dependencies

Mister_Magister's picture

as a jolla 1 user you also don't have vp9 decoding

lpr's picture

I do have (libvpx is just SW and not HW but 720p is no problem with Jolla1 - 1080p sometimes possible).
I even have AV1 decoding via libaom (youtube-ret395: 240p@30fps) possible on Jolla1

Mister_Magister's picture

Need some more info on that can you contact me elsewhere?

lpr's picture

well, sure...
where? forum.sailfishos.org?

Mister_Magister's picture

email, forun, telegram, irc, twitter literally anywhere you want :)

NGC_Ollie's picture

Is it just me or is it impossible to get the list of unwatched videos since 3.3.2-0? All videos is the same, i only get the "front page".

Mister_Magister's picture

they do load… just after the recommended videos because i'm on crack and forgot to clear the list xd

acid's picture

searching fetching video info comments etc are working, but playing videos not.

samsung galaxy a5 2017 (a520f)

Mister_Magister's picture

Your phone doesn't support vp9 decoding, which for 2017 is hilarious.

Hope you don't buy samsung ever again :)

acid's picture

;(

Mister_Magister's picture

other option for you than new phone would be to harass jolla to fix bug in droidmedia i reported over a year ago, then we can switch back to avc1 which all phones support

Seven_of_nine's picture

Playing works fine, downloading only one time, after several tries, the rendering of the screen crashed while video itself was still playing without any issues.

edit: a reboot did it, now working fine. Thank you much MisterMagister !
