How can I use this app? I'm running SFOS 4.3 on Xperia XA2 Ultra. I've installed node.js as well as your app. It loads everything and I can search for the videos, but when it comes to playing them, it's stuck in an infinite loop (like this - https://imgur.com/a/mPNEm2N). On data and wi-fi.

What should I do?

Mister_Magister's picture

have you made sure to have latest version? try restarting the app if that doesn't help, close app, remove ".local/share/microtube/microtube/js" and then restart the app (two times just to make sure)

Branja's picture

The latest version from the openrepos (version 2.1.5). I've deleted the folder you mentioned. Started the app, then killed it. Started it again through terminal, tried to play the video, and this is the output that I've got - https://i.imgur.com/uaa5x3e.png

videos still don't play?

No update for 4.2?

Mister_Magister's picture

I haven't even updated my ports to 4.0 yet. Did it break in 4.2?

I have an issue.
A little while after installing microtube the links are not working on my phone. If I am in a mail clicking on a link to a webpage, it will try to open it with microtube.
To solve this I must do the following:
Uninstall microtube, removed some microtube folders and in the file:
~/.local/share/applications/mimeinfo.cach delete the lines with microtube.
Then run the commands:
devel-su update-desktop-database $HOME/.local/share/applications/
and
devel-su update-desktop-database /usr/share/applications/
Is there a way to solve this link issue with microtube installed.

uddghsjauszg's picture

where?

Mister_Magister's picture

On the subscriptions page you can click all videos or unwatched videos

Hi, I love the app but the only thing I would recommend for you is a page which shows the latest videos from your subscriptions because it's currently pointless to subscribe to a channel. Also it would be really nice to have have the likes and the upload date shown. Anyways, please keep up, I'm glad that there is a good, usable daily driveable native youtube client for sfos. :)

Mister_Magister's picture

its not pointless because such page already exists

rafaelflores's picture

Very nice app, thank you a lot!!! Could you please adjust the space to read the name of the videos? When the name is a little big, we can't see everything

Mister_Magister's picture

On the list right? i might look into it

Hi, I've been happily using your app all the time. Now I think I found a bug. I have been hesitating before reporting as I can't reproduce it every single time.
I keep 'Adjust brightness automatically' activated in my display system settings. When I start Microtube it overrides the 'optimal' brightness level and the screen gets less bright (don't know if this is intended, but I find it defeates the purpose of having automatically brightness on - and this happens also with picoplayer). Now the bug is that when I close Microtube I find that the 'Adjust brightness automatically' setting has been deactivated.
This happens about 80% of the times. Sorry I could not find the exact steps to reproduce it, but I made sure this only happens after using Microtube.

For some reason it works on an other internet connection, strange. Thanks anyway

uddghsjauszg's picture

Umm for some reason it stopped working. Anyone also experiencing this?
