The Application has been renamed, thus you will lose all your offline music, and have to reload everything.

It is recommended that you uninstall the old application and delete the following directory: "/home/nemo/.local/share/harbour-cutespotify" to free the previously used space

 

CuteSpot makes it possible to listen to your Spotify songs on Sailfish. It supports both online and offline playback.

A Spotify Premium subscription is required to make use of this application

A huge thanks to the initial developers and to Elleo who ported this app to Sailfish initially.

Please be aware that this version only works with Sailfish version >= 1.0.8.*

Note about versioning:

Starting from 1.5.2-*: Release 0 is always the harbour version, Release > 0 is always non-harbour compliant version. The harbour version is a limited version with all *.harbour.patch patches applied. This is due to API limitations in harbour.

Firstly, thank you for a great app! I’ve been using it since it was released. I do however have some questions and notes regarding the application:

Why, when using Warehouse on my Jolla, it installs the 1.5.2-1 version? Latest is 1.5.3-1.

The messages in my Inbox are greyed out and nothing happens when I try to access them.

What is the “+” icon (next to the favorite star) supposed to do? Nothing happens when I push it.

Lastly, when I have shuffle activated, using the “swipe album cover” don’t shuffle the songs, it just plays the next song in the playlist.

Yes I will do a separate page, somehow the package manager can't detect that it is the same app.

If something is greyed out it means they are not available on mobile, that can also happen in other playlists.

"+" does nothing yet.

I will look into the shuffle issue.

Hello, 1st timer jolla-noobie here. I tried running 'pkcon install qt5-qtmultimedia-plugin-audio-pulseaudio' but got 'fatal error: Failed to obtain authentication.' What to do and how to proceed?

As I said Im a complete newbie so try to keep it simple :)

Would appreciate alot if somebody could help me with this situation.. I'm not retard, so monkey instructions are not needed, just simplified version (instead of massive coding lines) of what can I do to make the app work!

What to write to terminal, how to get authenticated and so on...

edit. I can't seem to find v- 5.2 anywhere, even a download link would propably help enough. Thank you!

Just a big "THANK YOU!" for the really good Spotify-Player.
MPRIS-Support works like a charm. I am using a BT-Headset and a Pebble and both are working with controls at the same time, while the pebble is displaying title and artist - PERFECT!
And i was very happy to see, that it works even with BT-Control in my car (2012 Yaris Hybrid). Title and display are not displayed on the cars display yet, but still on the pebble. Maybe it works only for one device, but its unimportant.  It is very great to have a spotify-player connected to the car-system which can be controlled by the buttons on the steering :)

Hi I'm having problems finding version 1.5.2-2... 1.5.2-1 won't play back audio at all. Help would be much appreciated. Latest version on warehouse serms to be 1.5.2-1.

I ran 'pkcon install qt5-qtmultimedia-plugin-audio-pulseaudio' - thank you bocki!! - and 1.5.2-1 playback started working!

EDIT: I now noticed some users had had issues with lost audio... Everything works here so far. Well, installing a plugin really mastn't do that!

I just installed the latest version of CuteSpotify and I'm not able to play any songs. I had the crashing problem first but deleting everything in .local/share/harbour-cutespotify fixed it. Now everything seems to be working correctly but trying to paly songs does nothing. The small 'player' opens for a second and disappears without giving out any sound.

In my Case I was missing a dependancy.

"pkcon install qt5-qtmultimedia-plugin-audio-pulseaudio" did the trick.

Hm that is weird. If you have terminal installed can you please run the following:

harbour-cutespotify --debug > log.txt

and then try to play a song and then send me this log file?

Spotify works fine, but I lost ALL other sounds (calls, messages, calendar, alarm clock...)! Uninstalling CuteSpotify + deleting harbour-cutespotify folder didn't help. (I'm happy I noticed this before morning wake up.) Ps. My Jolla is from the first set, not "new".

I cannot believe that this is related to CuteSpotify. Otherwise I'm truly sorry. So did earlier versions work? like 1.5.1?

 

1.5.2-2 will install the following package: qt5-qtmultimedia-plugin-audio-pulseaudio

you can remove it manually by entering

pkcon remove qt5-qtmultimedia-plugin-audio-pulseaudio

in the terminal

Hi! 1.5.2-1 was my first version > problem with disappearing player. Today I upgraded to 1.5.2-2 > tested it works > after that no sounds. No other changes done today... Can I remove it from File Browser?

Terminal says: "could not find qt5-qtmultimedia-plugin-audio-pulseaudio"

More info: everything works fine when I have headset connected, but not via speaker.
