WebPirate is a Tabbed WebBrowser for SailfishOS based on WebKit.

A special thanks goes to Ferlanero for helping me with UI design and testing! :)

Note for the Ad Blocker:

You can download filters by clicking "Ad Block" button from the Sidebar and selecting "Update Filters" from the pull down menu.
If you'll find that banners are still visible, open a bug report on GitHub specifing the affected website and if it happened in Mobile version or Desktop one (include the "AdBlock" prefix so I can find it easily, thanks!)

Features:

  1. Real Tabs support
  2. Integrated Download Manager
  3. Support for Custom Search Engines
  4. Login data can be saved so the Browser can compile the fields for you
  5. Delete Personal Data (Navigation History, Cache, Login Data, Cookies) on exit.
  6. Favorites can be Imported and Exported, Folder support is available too.
  7. Integrated YouTube, Dailymotion and Vimeo Player/Grabber
  8. Text Search
  9. Integrated Media Player
  10. Account Integration
  11. File Upload
  12. Session Management
  13. Simple Ad Blocking System

I don't have implemented file upload/download yet

Ah, something I might be able to help with, I just need to find the WebView file from the Qt sources, if it's anything like 1.1 it's easy to implement opening of the picker

It is useful this link too: https://code.google.com/p/webkit-mirror/source/browse/Source/WebKit2/UIP...

It contains a lot of examples about WebKit 3.x usage :)

Thanks for the app.

You should rename it to harbour-webpirate though, to follow SailfishOS naming conventions (also if you ever want to get it into the Store).

Hi,
thanks for the tip!

You can do that all passwords saved? I go to the personal cabinet of the bank and introduce complex login and password every time .. in Opera (Harmattan) - The password is stored

I'll need to figure out how can be done.

Qml's WebView implementation is very basic, however, nothing is impossible

Localization is needed. Can you start using the Transifex?

Dax's picture

I have created an account on Transifex, created the project and uploaded the .ts file.
This is the project's link: https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/webpirate/

I have never used it, so any advice is welcome :)

Pretty nice browser. An ability to add a custom search engine would be great. And an option to remove temporary stuff when closing.

They will be available for the next release :)
