You may notice that for exemple scattered snow or heavy snow have exact same icons.. That is just one exemple between others... And that impacts the forcast a lot...

These are various icon sets that I have received permission to use from the authors. And I have not asked for permission to change them. These are standard sets. Currently the MeeCast-event package in this (OpenRepos) repository only supports SailfishOS < 4.6.0. A PR resolving this is on the way.

For now, you can either manually work around this or use the MeeCast-event package for SailfishOS 4.6.0 from the SailfishOS:Chum repository by first removing the MeeCast-event package from OpenRepos (e.g. by using Storeman) then installing the MeeCast-event package from SailfishOS:Chum (e.g. by using the SailfishOS:Chum GUI app).

Hi! Thanks for the work.
Eventview is not updating when app isn't running.
meecastd after "MyMWidget::update_data" spitts a lot of parser errors to journal log.
No idea if this is relevant.

Recently, I have not been able to update Melbourne - Australia using source bom.gov.au with current data. Tried various locations within Australia.

When another weather source is added, Melbourne Australia (bom.gov.au) will show data but last update shows 1 Jan.

Other weather source locations work okay though the forecast is showing 14 days in advance.

ie (weather.com - Inuvik)

Current config: X10III SFOS 4.6.0.13, Meecast 1.1.39-2

Since 2 Apr 2024 refreshing fmi.fi data crashes Meecast JollaShop version 1.1.35. sf 4.5.0.25, XA2+.

Also crashing confirmed openrepos version 1.1.38.

fmi.fi source for weather forecast (http://m.fmi.fi/mobile/interfaces/weatherdata.php) is outdated. :(

I need rewrite the code for this source.  But I don't know if I will have free time for this.

The = in file name needs to be escaped in config.xml. I solved this by adding a second file name tag, = is written to disk as \= and \= is read as =

There's just one problem: MeeCast won't start if config.xml isn't writable, and MeeCast breaks my changes at startup and every update. Changes in station name are persistent, though, which is nice, so I have Tampere (Foreca), Tampere (FMI), Tampere (OpenWeather) and Tampere (Yr.no).

Also, please fix the lock screen wallpaper's name to meecast.png so that the current one overwrites the previous one.

hi,

meecast is nice, but as my eyes are getting worse, i am starting to use light ambiences, and unfortunately meecast does not work well on light ambiences. it remains black, while the font color seems to switch to black as per ambience.
nowadays i have to switch ambiences to read meecast :D

Thanks for this app which i use on an XA2. I notice a bug (?) : At the bottom there are three button Day Night and Time. When i click on the day button i get the moon icon at the top of the new page, at the right side of the label "Jour" (i use the french version)  and when i click the night button i see the sun at the right side of the label "Nuit" . This is inverted. Gave a good day.

per day, for example
