I just filed a ticket on github, as I see Meecast 1.1.39-2 crashing with Weather Channel locations (Foreca seems to be OK).

Recently, I have not been able to update Melbourne - Australia using source bom.gov.au with current data. Tried various locations within Australia.

When another weather source is added, Melbourne Australia (bom.gov.au) will show data but last update shows 1 Jan.

Other weather source locations work okay though the forecast is showing 14 days in advance.

ie (weather.com - Inuvik)

Current config: X10III SFOS 4.6.0.13, Meecast 1.1.39-2

Since 2 Apr 2024 refreshing fmi.fi data crashes Meecast JollaShop version 1.1.35. sf 4.5.0.25, XA2+.

Also crashing confirmed openrepos version 1.1.38.

fmi.fi source for weather forecast (http://m.fmi.fi/mobile/interfaces/weatherdata.php) is outdated. :(

I need rewrite the code for this source.  But I don't know if I will have free time for this.

The = in file name needs to be escaped in config.xml. I solved this by adding a second file name tag, = is written to disk as \= and \= is read as =

There's just one problem: MeeCast won't start if config.xml isn't writable, and MeeCast breaks my changes at startup and every update. Changes in station name are persistent, though, which is nice, so I have Tampere (Foreca), Tampere (FMI), Tampere (OpenWeather) and Tampere (Yr.no).

Also, please fix the lock screen wallpaper's name to meecast.png so that the current one overwrites the previous one.

hi,

meecast is nice, but as my eyes are getting worse, i am starting to use light ambiences, and unfortunately meecast does not work well on light ambiences. it remains black, while the font color seems to switch to black as per ambience.
nowadays i have to switch ambiences to read meecast :D

Thanks for this app which i use on an XA2. I notice a bug (?) : At the bottom there are three button Day Night and Time. When i click on the day button i get the moon icon at the top of the new page, at the right side of the label "Jour" (i use the french version)  and when i click the night button i see the sun at the right side of the label "Nuit" . This is inverted. Gave a good day.

Installed Meecast Event view for my sony xperia 10 II wiith Sailfish.

Is it possible to add winddirection and speed

per day, for example

11 Nov   Sat W 3 m/s

12 Nov   Sun NW 12 m/s

Can I see the softwarecode somewhere ?

The short answer - currently it's impposible. You can edit station position (lat,lon) manualy in config file. And I can add your favorite places to the database.
