Patch: MeeCast on LockScreen

Patch working only on Vaarainjärvi (u10) release

I didn't found any problems using this patch, but it still at your own risk.

It can't be installed on Inoi R7. Error message: "Nothing provides patchmanager needed by harbour-meecast-lockscreen-0.5-1.armv7hl"

When I swipe down,
only Reload and Refresh cache
No install option ..........

How to install patchmanager?.

Установил, но не нашел редактированный файл.Не могу удалить! Перезагружал. Остается виджет.

Я не понял Вашу проблему.

Удалять с экрана надо с помщью patcmanager

По пунктам. Я поставил Ваш патч, применил в патч-менеджере и он отоброжается мелко и сдвинуто, но при этом путь редактирования файла не нашел. Удалил, теперь он в патч менеджере не стоит, а в программе Meecast применяется. Что не правильно?

Meecast widget is a good idea, but needs to align centered on screen and below the time/date.
And please remove gray background and frame!

You can create file

/home/nemo/.config/harbour-meecast/lockscreen.conf

for moving widget on sreen

This file have to includes those strings:

y_position=650
x_position=100

In application first you display day temperature and then night temperature. On lockscreen widget it is reversed. Would be nice to have the same order in widget as in application.

Hi vasvlad,

Finally, I stay with the normal lockscreen patch, which is also displayed on LPM screen. But I'm disturbed one points (plus the others I mentioned before): the current weather (the one on the left) it less visible than following days forecast. And this is even more visible on LPM screen where following days forecasts seem emphasized compared to the current day.

Is this what you wanted to do?

Really nice, thanks a lot.

 

Some improvements suggestions:

  • remove the frame or just keep a bottom border
  • remove date and time
  • Make the city name a bit more visible (bigger font and maybe white?)
  • I would propose a setting to display only the today forecast (as it was on the N9)

Didn't know about it, thanks. But how to get this? If I can remove the frame, that would be perfect.

EDIT: Just found how to, by disabling the MeeCast widget in PatchManager. Some settings to be able to remove frame, refresh date/time, and paradise :D

Great app, thanks for making it better each time!
One issue however...since last update, I have the “old” widget and the new one at the same time on the lockscreen :?
I can get ride of the new long widget by disabling it with the patchmanager and show only the “old” smaller one.
Note, I have latest installed version, which has been reinstalled several times, following multiple reboots...

Help me, i bricked my phone..

I installed meecast daemon and meecast lockscreen and it seemed to work great.

After a while, when i turned on my phone, it gave me a warning, that i shuold 

input a following code:

zypper in -f lipstick-jolla-home-qt5

when i did that, i got an error about a wrong command.

After reboot my phone shows only ambience srceen and meecast picture.

i can check notifications but otherwise my phone is unresponsive..

Hi again.

I got home and tried to use recovery mode following these instructions:

I downloaded putty, but when i input ip adress 10.42.66.66

i only get "network error: permission denied"..

i have my phone connected via usb in recovery mode.

What did i do wrong?

Hmm. I'm sorry but I did not use recovery mode and I have only Linux on my desktop computer. Try to find answer on forums.
