A pity, Yottagram on the Sony AX2 does not credit itself after entering the control code. We will see later if it improves.

Hello! Happy new year ;).
It could be cool to include "X is writing" when the other person in the chat is writing....In depecher that's implemented both in the "all chats" page and of course also inside each chat... quite practical so you also see in the chat's overview how many friends ae writing...

Hello!
I noticed Fernschreiber just got into jolla Store! Which is quite a cool move actually...
Anything similar could be expected for Yottagram?
That'd be great christmas present;)

For me, the same apps are getting roughly 3 times more downloads from Jolla Store than OpenRepos (active installs in Jolla Store vs number of downloads for the last version in OpenRepos).

For sharing, you may find this useful:

It's a bit more complicated than you need, though, because it supports previous version of the interface too.

Just start typing (or paste) a lot of text into a chat, to the point where the first line disappears. Type even more. Now if you want to go back to the first line and edit it, you would put your thumb on the text and scroll it down, but it won't scroll. Instead it will activate the pulley menu 'open a secret chat' and 'clear history'. I guess when you are inside the text editor field the pulley should not activate itself.
Also, if the send button is activated, when you write such a long message it will be pushed up as you type until it disappears.
I looked at how Depecher solved this and it reserves a little scrollable area for text input in the screen and a send button that would always stays in the low right corner.
As for the font size in the chat list, yeah, I understand it can be messy, it should also affect icons... Not really essential...
Thanks for taking care of all of the comments here...

What you are doing is great, thanks a lot! Coming from Depecher I love how you can bring up the attachment upload interface.
Now I also met the problem that @lxmx met (super old messages showing just above the new one in a chat).
Another issue I had was when I pasted a long text (20 lines or more) into a chat: I could not scroll up, to read it again or change it, I could only press the send button.
Last: it'd be cool if reducing font size affected also the chat list, so to see more of them without scrolling.
Well, all this is already very good and promising, going to send a little 'thanks'.

yeah font size change only affects message size… i'll try to affect every text size but that will be so messy…

Yeah, a cooperation and fusion of both Yottagram and Fernschreiber would be great, so all the best functions would be brought together :) Thanks!

I observed a weird issue a couple of times: some really old contact chats have pieces of history cut out. Once I opened a chat with one unread messages from an old buddy and saw the last message - and some super old messages from 2017 right on top of it, instead of more recent history

Apple iOS users can't play my voice notes created with Yottagram. No issues with voice notes for Telegram users under Android.
When saving a picture in Yottagram it ends up in the users home directory and not in the Pictures folder in the home directory. It can't be found by the Gallery app.
Thank you for creating a Telegram app for SailfishOS. Well done.

Hei!
Speaking of UX ( yeah, i'm aware it isnt a priority yet, just throwing thoughts:)), in TelegramX and in Depecher, there is this nice UX tweak that allows all messages in a chat to be "centered", did you ever noticed/ used that feature in Depecher? I think it could fit nicely as an option, considering the design identity of Yottagram...
It makes the whole chat look much more readable...
Here is what i mean: https://www.qwant.com/?q=telegram%20X&t=images&o=0:ac6a5f71e222db53626a3...
