ok, can i request photo uploading feature? it is ceirtanly in api and since i have imageworks app, i can now get edits done right in sailfish and would like to upload to flickr right from device.

thanks.

sorry man, when I run it, it asks:

"Please enter the Flickr PIN:" and i have a numbers only keyboard.

what is a flickr pin? i cannot find.

Under normal circumstances, the app should launch your browser where you need to login to Flickr and allow Fernweh to access your profile. After you have granted that, Flickr will return this PIN (some digits with hyphens). You need to enter this PIN here. It's a standard OAuth 1 OOB flow, see https://oauth.net/core/1.0a/

If your browser doesn't launch, you have an issue with your configuration. Try using https://openrepos.net/content/llelectronics/mimer to reset the browser configuration.

thank you!

i run harbour-fernwen from terminal, found out the link, copy pasted it to the browser, got the pin.

now i have other question: isn't it possible to see photostream of your subscriptions?

that what you see when entering flickr - whom you followed to. what did they publish.

i think it is hm, main purpose of flickr - to see photos of those whom you follow. (:

i see trending photos - and my photos. what about my people? (:

Well, there are certain API limitations - and the API doesn't seem to be designed to imitate the official Flickr experience - that's even disallowed in the terms of service of the API. That's probably the reason why exactly this API to get something like a timeline of your subscriptions is missing - at least to my knowledge. You can only access the photostreams individually of each user by accesing their profile.

thank you for explanations. today i sent a request to flickr support asking them to extend API to support "all activity" stream.

also would be very nice to be able to follow people from their pages (instead of going to their profiles by browser, or in addition to it) and be able to favorite others' pictures.

WerkWolf's picture

Favorite pictures may come at a certain point in time. Follow/subscribe to peole doesn't seem to be supported via the Flickr API, so that's unlikely...

omg i don't believe this. thank you!

Freut mich, dass es gefällt. Und schön zu sehen, dass ich nicht der einzige Flickr-Fan bin. :)
