Hi, thanks for the attractive application. Unfortunately I'm not able to connect/browse files (don't know where it stops). I have a self hosted Nextcloud 17 instance. I've tried either with root /remote.php/webdav/ (as stated in the NC settings) of /remote.php/dav/files/<nickname>/ where I used my username in place of nickname. Can you give me some hint on what else I could check?

You can wait for next update when i enable more error reporting :/

It wont show the files. I think the webdav path is correct. I have A LOT of files. Could this be an issue?

Mister_Magister's picture

Nah doubt that

lispy's picture

Thank you. I didn't even dare to ask for this. Amazing!!

Despite the webdav path part being notoriously hard to remember for most people (perhaps a 'prefill default path for this user'-button in settings could be useful? or even a automatic fallback if it's empty?), I'd consider it a successful first launch! Nice work!

cheers!

Hecc good idea!

Nice. By the way, Your atmosphere is so beautiful.

Thank you!

Oh well, no I didn't. Thought the root path was just for subdirectories. Now it kinda works, thanks: I can browse folders, but cannot play files or add them to the playlist. I'll check if the issue is not on my Nextcloud.

No problem with selfhosting those, just wanted to save your time so you could see how the service serves the files without selfhosting it yourself, in case you consider to support Airsonic one day.

Mister_Magister's picture

When you add file to playlist there goes request listing all files in directory and subdirectories  maybe try adding single file at first, otherwise there is something broken wih PROCFIND on your server

Kabouik's picture

I can confirm the issue was with my server. Somehow some folders uploaded successfully, while others just uploaded the folder structure without the files. Totally not related to Musikilo.

Great! at least one person got it working. I'm bit worried you know it's release and not working *cold sweat*

Kabouik's picture

Oh, got it for the password, cool.

Actually I cannot login either. I'm trying with a nextcloud session on cloud.disroot.org with credentials that usually work.

About Airsonic/Subsonic, feel free to ping me on irc/tmo/twitter if interested in a test account on my server in the future!

Mister_Magister's picture

Also nah i selfhost nextcloud what's the problem in selfhosting airsonic/subsonic

Mister_Magister's picture

you ofcourse added /remote.php/dav/files/nickname/ stuff to root path right?

blizzz's picture

I doubt, i use the same creds with Talk. Also nothing to see on cli. When i come around I'll also check with the IDE.

Mister_Magister's picture

then you too try adding /remote.php/dav/files/nickname/ to root path

blizzz's picture

Same as Kabouik i thought it was for the subfolder. Adding it doesn't help now, though. But going to sleep, i'll check tomorrow.

No sweat, thanks for your efforts :)

Mister_Magister's picture

i disabled debug in release, Can you show me your settings?

blizzz's picture

They don't. On restart the bottom indicator flashes twice, that's all. The password field on settings is then empty.

Mister_Magister's picture

then there was problem with login possibly? Sorry i didn't really implement error reporting :P Check credentials http/https or otherwise wait for next update

Kabouik's picture

Great project, thanks. Will upload some music just to test it.
In a future update, can you fix the password field so that the password cannot just be shown/edited/copied even after succesful login? It's not very safe at the moment.
Also, would it be a lot of work to extend streaming to services like Subsonic and Airsonic, which are made specifically for music? Nextcloud streaming is awesome, but for those who already own a server set up for streaming audio with such dedicated tools, using this app would be great too. I could give you a test account on my Airsonic server if interested.

Mister_Magister's picture

just restart the app and bum! password will be gone forever.

as to second part… i was considering adding spotify and tidal backends so why not!

blizzz's picture

Thanks for the app, that's cool!

Need some starter help though... I filled out the settings, but upon clicking connect nothing seems to happen?

Go to first tab, files should appear
