Ghostcloud works fine in 'manual mode' but the additionals/automatic upload of photos unfortunately don't work. Sorry that i have to report this. Nevertheless thank you very much!

martinbook85's picture

I think Ghostcloud actually worked for me uploading photos I took. Now there is no response when I try to turn on this function.

Any clue how I could get my Sailfish XA2 Ultra to autoupload photos?

martinbook85's picture

Never mind, the settings menu item surfaced when I long pressed the account in the GhostCloud app.

martinbook85's picture

Is this app still supposed to work? There is no Settings option in the pulley menu in GhostCloud. I cannot find anywhere to enable auto upload or any other options. Uploading manually works.

Hi beidl,

I'm sorry but I have to tell you that ghostcloud-additionals breaks sharing in 3.3.0.14, at least on my device (XA2 H3113).

Greetings, broncheolus.

Hi again!

Can I configure this to also upload pictures already existing on the phone, but not yet uploaded to Nextcloud? (aka. real sync...)

Dag's picture

Still no automatic photo upload happening for me.

beidl's picture

Have you enabled it in the accounts settings (long-press on account in the list)?

Dag's picture

Thanks for the tip. It was enabled. BUT disabling it and the enabling again made the auto upload work!

Dag's picture

The upload doesn't seem to work with the new multiaccount Ghostcloud. And there is no menuentry down on the Ghostcloud page.

PawelSpoon's picture

Does daemon also upload from sd card ? In my case seems not. Just tried it. Does upload when internal memory is used, and not when sd card in use. Thanks ! Pawel

bomo's picture

Maybe stupid question, but how/where to configure an automatic photo upload?

droid001's picture

You'll find it in the owncloud client app. Scroll down to the bottom of the page when you will have two pulley menus called 'File transfers' and 'Settings'. The Camera photo backups option is found there.

Share Plugin is broken with latest Sailfish Update :(

I would try to fix it, but i can't find the sourcecode .. :/

beidl's picture

The source code is located at https://github.com/beidl/harbour-owncloud

What needs to happen is the Nemo transferengine not crashing when a plugin built with a different SailfishOS SDK version is loaded into the process. I'll take another look at the issue in the near future.

ziellos's picture

It seems I am unable to use the "share" option in gallery. The ownCloud app is configured correctly, (auto-)login to my Nextcloud 13 (using LetsEncrypt SSL certificate) works as expected. From the app, uploading images does also work.

But when using the "Nextcloud/ownCloud" sharing option from the gallery app, it doesn't. I am asked for a remote upload directory, and there is even a notification that the upload succeeded. But I am not able to find any uploaded images in my Nextcloud. Any idea what's going wrong here?

beidl's picture

Is the issue still occuring?

Hey, it's been a while since i first had this issiue, i dont remember at wich update i started.

I'm using an Intex device so it created another folder (wich eventually i will merge with the old jolla device's folder).

Anyways i changed the path in the conf file and it now reads from the sdcard.

"/home/nemo/.config/harbour-owncloud/harbour-owncloud.conf"

"localPicturesPath=/home/nemo/Pictures" changed it to "/media/sdcard/xxxx-xxxx/Pictures"

Could we use multiple paths? Or does it follow symlinks? I could creat a folder somewhere with in it some links and use that folder as a local pictures path.

Or you could do it when installing!!

Anyways Thanks, nice work on keeping it alive!

beidl's picture

Symlinks should typically be followed in normal use cases.

I'm not going to create a symlink on random devices without further notice.

bolinches's picture

I did the symlink and works nicely. Nothing else did it evne changing the settings on the conf file for localPicturesPath. Thanks for a GREAT feature

phlixi's picture

Thanks for the great app!

At first I thought it does not work, but sems to me as if it is just that saving pictures on SD card (setting for the camera app) is not compatible with automatic upload of images (for the case some one might wonder why its not working, maybe it is just because images are saved to SD card, works fine for me when not using this option).

I found this:

settings.value("localPicturesPath", QStandardPaths::writableLocation(QStandardPaths::PicturesLocation)).toString();

in harbour-owncloud/common/src/nextcloudsettings.cpp and asume its just returning something like "~/Pictures" instead of "/media/sdcard/xxxxxxxxxxx/Pictures/" or "/media/sdcard/xxxxxxxxxxx/Pictures/Camera" even though setting have been set to save pictures taken on SD card for the camera app.

...maybe it is "~/Pictures", "/media/sdcard/xxxxxxxxxxx/Pictures/Camera" but only the first value is taken into accunt, thats above my understanding...

PawelSpoon's picture

i would like to implement a share to sailorgram plugin, i did already had a look on copy-clipboard-plugin

would you bother to upload your sources somewhere ? or send me a zip ?

would be very greatfull !

Dag's picture

Ok, updated again to 0.5.2 and this &%¤&%¤"!/3 thing uploaded ALL my pictures that already were in the Jolla/Camera folder into a new folder called "Intex Aquafish/Camera". 6GB of reupload... Me not like at all.... :-(

beidl's picture

If you had multiple devices they would all sync into the same directory and cause other problems. If no other bugs occur that should be the last reupload. :)

Dag's picture

After updating to 0.5.1 the photo sync doesn't work reliably. Some pictures are synced, some not.

beidl's picture

Mind commenting about which types of images are not being synched (Images from the camera)?

cvp's picture

Thanks for the great update. Can you also add videos and the files under .config and .local/share folders under nemo?

pfbach's picture

Any chance for a 64bit build for Sailfish X ?

Dag's picture

Can we get a small mod to this that would pick up the current path for pictures? The new feature for storing the pictures on SD will make this daemon not work any more... Or where can I foind the sources to modify?
