Native unofficial songkick client

 

If you are into concerts, then songkick.com is definitely the best site to visit. It has all the venues from the big to the tineast ones. I like that site and the android app so much that i have written a native app for it. 

CAUTION: 4.3 version is for sfos 4.3, while 3.2 is built against some 3.2 target

       this on-tour-info gets only. update on 'get tracking items from songkick'.
       this version is the first baby step to offline capability of this app.

Hi, Sipoonkoorpi is 3.0.1.8 and the same problem aopears on 3.0.2.8... I hadn't installed it before and opened an account on songkick after I understood, that it's mandatory to receive data from Songkick. The problem is persistent. No changes, even after having updated it to version 2.3.
B.t.w. How can I start a program from the command line. I don't see any terminal app, which would enable me to do so...

Thanks for your app. It's nice to get data directly without the extra ads presented on website. Don't worry about bocephus, the user just tries to offend almost everyone at as many occasions as possible (here or on TJC). But one feature your app could provide over website is: daemon mode that periodically polls and notifies about upcoming new events.

i personally do rely on the e-mail notifcations that do come directly from songkick.com. i.e. the reminders for upcoming events.

have you checked the settings of your account ? it might be sufficient

On my Jolla 1, under Sipoonkorpi, it's impossible to get any data from Songkick. There is just a message "ResultPage.Status Not Ok" and on a second line, in small italic letters "undefined". Could you please have a look at this? Thank you in advance - Roland

I do not have a jolla 1, but it runs on intex and xperia x.

which version of sailkick are you using, did you read the 'important' note ?

sipoonkoorpi is what version number ?

if you start the app from terminal can you share the output here or github ?

UPDATE: can you give me some update on your problems ? are they solved ?

? the swiping right to left ist the implementation of youtube player? why not adopting the approach of the mediaplayer i mentioned? it would be cool if a last swipe in location will the user bring back to the start view. thx

i had a look on it. imho this is not a carusel. you start flowplayer, it shows a 'selection page' and then you can navigate 'down'. this is not what i am looking for. i dont want to have a selection page as first page.

the first page should be imho already a data page. 

concerts <-> plans <-> artists <-> venues

i know that i can push multiple pages into the pagestack at once, but i do not know how to make page 2 or 3 as the displayed one and not the last one, that is my basic problem

done, now that i think about it: remove of tracked items might not work, i think i am currently only upserting, not deleting when syncing. in next version ;-)

i am mainly using location tracking and this is quite a stable thing

another cool feature would be something like - I am in the artist or location view for example, then it would be nice, with another swipe from right to left, ending up in the webview. so its easy to add new locations or aetist out of the app. or is it planned to have that in the app integrated? cool that youre responding so quickly.

i was already thinking of having a pulldown menu  'manage' on Locations/ Artists that would bring you directly to the webview where you could manage ..
that should be pretty simple.

i have problems with the swipes:

i.e.: i would like to have a plans-concerts-artists-areas carousel, but i have no clue how to implement that and i did not find anything on the net

issue fixed.  as i do not use a password, i think i do not need a log out. you just need to change the username, save, done.

on webview, you have to login once within the app. this is currently not synced with the username i use for fetching data and i am not planing to do that. so a log out here would make sense.

regarding username field: this is all default behaviour. i have now changed a setting on the textfield without effect, so i assume this is a keyboard setting. hmm

ok, tested. enter username or password row and tbe keyboard is showin up in capital letter mode. shouldn't be in my opinion, but it's cosmetic. now I have updated the app and you removed the password line. since then I can't sync my content. If I enter setting, enter my username, save it with swiping from right to left and reenter settingy to sync, the username row is empty and select syncing from ths pulley menu doesn't sync my content. in the main window no shows are shoin up. tI get the same result doin the steps at once. enter username, select sync contents and then save. nothing is there. last but not least a sign out button would be nice at the tkme when the password login is back.

i have removed the password from page cause i do not need it, due to that save is not working anymore. i love javascript. 

will fix that, regarding capitalization: need to check for the attribute

mhh,I try to explain what I mean. haven't tested but, for example, my password starts  with g and is followed by other letters. in the end the password looks like g*****. as you can see,  my pw starts with a non capital letter = g. when I start to enter my password in the input line in songkick app, the first one is alway a capital letter. also in the username row. maybe it's related to system or keyboard settings, maybe also only a visual issue, haven't tested if logging in is succesful, but I haven't observed this in other login scenarios in other apps. the credeantial input rows there are always showin the first letter as a small one. if my password would start with a capital G for example I have to explicit use the capital button to write a capital G. it's not capital by default. hope this explains it better.
