WebPirate is a Tabbed WebBrowser for SailfishOS based on WebKit.
Note for the Ad Blocker:
You can download filters by clicking "Ad Block" button from the Sidebar and selecting "Update Filters" from the pull down menu.
If you'll find that banners are still visible, open a bug report on GitHub specifing the affected website and if it happened in Mobile version or Desktop one (include the "AdBlock" prefix so I can find it easily, thanks!)

Love the latest UI changes!
Recently discovered the SFOS text input option too, so much better on websites without a mobile theme!
Thank you :)

I know.
Something is changed in Sailfish 2.0.2.x, but I will look at that after the Sailorgram's release.

I will do that when 2.0.3.x reaches the early access.
I can't fix that now, I'm still on 2.0.1.x

Appreciate your efforts, nice and responsive browser. There is one feature I am still looking for, maybe I just missed the setting. Is it possible to enlarge the font size, resulting in automatic line break to match the screen width? So far I can zoom in the page, but then parts of the text is exceeding the width of the screen and permanent left/right swipe is necessary in order to display the full line.

Dear Dax,
I really love the interface. Just learned to know webpirate by now, so I can't compare it to the old one. It's very sailfish-ish ;)
However, I don't use it as my main browser for one reason: on several pages scrolling is very laggy. Examples: m.spiegel.com and m.faz.net. Maybe this is a problem of WebKit? I also have this problem on WebCat. Or maybe because I use WebPirate on SFOS alpha 1 on Fairphone2?
Cheers and thanks for your work!

Lags are related to WebKit.
Sorry for the late reply :)

This is now officially the best and my favourite app there is. The new UI seems perfect so far, really enjoying it. One thing I though of so far is that the gesture to close a tab should work when swiping from the other side as well.
Great job! Loving it.

There is one design flaw I noticed, not sure if it was already reported. When the mobile page utilizes the 'swipe down to update' option the pulley menu gets called instead. You can easily try this at the mobile version of Twitter.

There's also no way to refresh the page without scrolling to the top and using the pulley menu.
I hope someone figures out a way to fix the Webkit zoom bug which renders the page smaller at first.

WHAT have you done :( why this unlogical hell UI ? I don't want to sound like grumpy grandpa, but this is truly unlogically made, before it was great, why changes ? also, not sure, if this is a bug or "feature" but browser agent doesn't work properly, I have "desktop" and m.facebook.com runs that stupid "iPhony version" of facebook, which I don't wanna... before on 1.7.4 it worked normally. Also some translations to Czech are horrible, I don't know, who did it, since last version on 1.7.4 was done by me and there are changes too... I have to look to transifex.. but I am truly reconsidering install 1.7.4 back...
Edit: translations edited

Lots of people doesn't liked the "old ui" because doesn't follow sailfishos guidelines (too many buttons), so with the help of Ferlanero we have created a new one working no-stop for two weeks.
The new UI is gesture based, less buttons and less distractions, it's not perfect, there is a lot of work to do yet :)
About translations, I don't know Czeck language so I can't tell if a translation is good or not, I have just included the updated one.
About the desktop version of Facebook I will make some tests: I have made some changes to the Desktop-User Agent recently

I see I am maybe the only one, but these Gestures just slows usage down... well, I see I am at minority at this, I can live with that. But I have suggestions. It would be nice to have optionable buttons at main screen at web page, something like in the picture ? (don't laugh, about 2 minutes in mspaint :D ) I personally most of the time goes to the settings menu only when I want to change night mode or back, so quick button (not mandatory, user selectable in settings) would be enough for me :) also I believe somebody mentioned it, but I cannot see the option to head back to the previoues page (navigation history in one tab, I open some link but I want to go to the page before I clicked on link) I see the complete history in menu, but I cannot simply click on "back" button or at least I cannot see this option. Also for new tab before I had to just little go up on page and there was a "cross" for a new tab. Now I have to go to the settings page or entirely on top on web page and there is pulley down menu. Again, slowing things down, BUT it can be solved pretty easily I believe, pull down with 2 fingers might open pulley menu anywhere on the page ? :)
EDIT: I realised that two finger gesture is not possible since it works for zoom... so maybe 3 fingers ? :D

Ok for the used-defined button! :)
About the "New Tab" behavior it can be improved, I want to avoid complex gestures: everything should be available with one hand so a gesture with 2/3 fingers is a bit complex :D

Thank you for the button :) Yeah I realize, that 3 finger gesture may be overcomplicated, but now it is not ideal :) it was best idea my small brain was able to make after 3h of sleep :D

Interesting new UI but we lost some important functions, such as navigation history, find on page, quick close and quick menu button. I think so these things still a lot of space on the bottom notification bar.
