Based on the original Value Logger by kimmoli.

The original one worked well on Jolla1 until my databases grew to thousands of entries and UI got painfully slow. Then I switched to a newer Sailfish OS device with a hi-res display and it turned out that sizes of many UI elements were hardcoded in pixels, some text labels became unreadable, fixed-resolution PNGs became too small and so on.

I had no choice but to fix it!

This is a re-launch of a simple SFOS qml app against newsapi.org. The old app was called News Aggregater and available on the Jolla store. In order to use All the news, you need an apikey from https://newsapi.org/. The key can be added under the settings pulldown menu.

I've reworked much of the code after being unable to contact the original dev.

Because of the WebView component that's used this is SFOS > 4.

libsecret is a library for storing and retrieving passwords and other secrets. It communicates with the "Secret Service" using D-Bus. gnome-keyring and ksecretservice are both implementations of a Secret Service.
