A few months ago Reddit has changed how the top category works. It used to be that TOP meant TOP of all time, but they changed it to TOP of Today. This means that now in Quickddit if you press TOP All Time, you will get TOP Today, amd if you press TOP Today, you will get an error. Not only this is confusing, but it also means you can't see TOP of ALL Time at all in the app.

The app is awesome so if you could find time to fix this we would really appreciate it!

Same here. Logging out.
Also, no support for multiple accouns?
I appreciate that login is fixed though

Same problem here on my Xperia 10 III. Is there any workaround available? Or should we stick with an older version, as long as it will be fixed?

Same on 10iii too. If you launch quickddit from terminal you can see errors, maybe "cannot read property "path" of null" on line 153 of main.qml is what is the problem?
I assume introdicing sandboxing might have been what broke it.

I installed this a few days ago on my XA2 (I think I still had some very old quickddit version). For some reason options and logged in user are not saved. Each time I close quickddit and reopen it I have to sign in again. Any idea on how to fix this problem?

Same for me on x10iii

Any way to change the logged in user? Whenever I try to log in, the previous user is already signed in the webview and I can't find a way to log out.

Videos don't seem to want to play anymore, they just get stuck on 0% loading, using Xperia 10 III

Can u make a 64 bit package please

vige's picture

Could we get an aarch64 build as well? I can of course build one myself, but going through all the hoops of registering as developer and getting the API key, it just feels like a bit much and I'm lazy.

accumulator's picture

I'm a bit lazy too, sorry for the delay.

Just uploaded aarch64 build, enjoy :)

Thank you!

Thank you for the update!

Amazing app, donated last year. Anything to be done to get YouTube videos working again in the app? That was a killer feature, sad to see it broken by Google's changes… Could put up with using an API key too, if needed. Thanks!

Later edit: just overwrite the youtube-dl sources in /usr/share/harbour-quickddit/youtube_dl with the corresponding sub-dir from youtube-dl's latest sources tarball and it should work again… ;-]

Hi, some videos from v.reddit.com aren't viewable for me.
"Secure connection setup failed: ../ext/soup/gstsouphttp...
Peer failed to perform TLS handshake (6)"

accumulator's picture

It's a known issue in SailfishOS itself, so maybe it will be fixed in half a year or so.

Hi, thanks for your app! I noticed something strange today, quickddit is showing me italian posts (I'm in Italy but phone language is english) when normally it was showing the international ones (no account for reddit). How to change this behaviour? Is it due to API changes?

accumulator's picture

I guess reddit is using some sort of geolocation mapping of your IP address if you're not logged in :)

Thank you, for keeping this app updated and featured.

Great app..

t0t3u's picture

Hmm.. Double checked the menu and I don't have Hide option. Can someone confirm?

accumulator's picture

The Hide function uses Reddit's API and stores nothing locally, so it's only available if you log in.

t0t3u's picture

Hahaha! Thank you! ^.^

Hi, Do you have an ETA for the next release?
Thank you for this great app!

accumulator's picture

First of all, this application is great, I love it. I am on an xperia phone. I have one issue and one question.

- sometimes, like three times till now, when i want to watch a very large gif on your app, the whole phone freezes. Like you cannot do anything with the phone. No restart, no switching app, no closing Quickddit. This happened two days ago like towards the end of the gif. It was a large gif since it took quite a long time to load. I waited for like three minutes hoping it would finish the job and become responsive again but it did not. I had to push arrow-up and power to restart the phone. Do you have any suggestions on this?

- I never login to reddit, but I would love some functionality to filter out sume sub-reddit threads, something like the functionality of "relay for reddit" in android. It is just that some of these threads are too active and too irrelevant for me. Do you have any plans on this area?
