This seems to have broken my phone on 3.4.0.22
The symptom is that once it starts, the whole screen is blank. The screen is still active and appears to respond, because I managed to accidentally toggle the flashlight.
But basically, I can't do a thing.
Rebooting the phone autostarts the app using Patch Manager and the same thing happens.
This problem was exhibited after I upgraded and was apparently provoked by some other patch managed by patch manager. So I believe it is specifically related to patches.

Report to forum.sailfishos.org and ask Jolla why they broke all overlay apps in update

Now I've had dinner, it's next on my list of things to do.
I don't know the specifics of what they broke, but this app is broke now and gets "auto-broke" on reboot :(
I tried hitting the "remorse" button when Patch Manager was starting the app, but it still got loaded.
:(

I added my voice to this post https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/the-screen-goes-black-and-thats-it/2282 as I believe it to be the same issue. I initially had the issue immediately after upgading to 3.4.0.22 but I had no way to determine the cause. A reflashed system allowed me to accidentally discover a reproducer.
Oh well. :(

Doesn't work yet on 2.1.0/Iijoki - probably needs adaptation to all the new qt groundwork.

The position setting has stopped working for me since the latest Store-update. I switched to this version in hope of fixing it, but it didn't. No matter what I choose, the bar is always at the top. If I choose bottom, the bar just turns around, as if my display was upside down or something.
I figured I'd try removing the settings file (or files?) to start from scratch, in case something had gone wrong there, but couldn't find it. (looked in /home/nemo and subdirectories there). It would be nice if you could tell me where it is, so I could check it out and maybe post what's gone wrong if I figure it out? :)

Has it been rejected on Harbour or why the sudden change of mind on the Autostart feature? ;-)
Do you maintain two separate apps now or is it again down to Jolla for not allowing these kind of apps on their store?

Hi coderus, thanks for this app! Could you make the bar follow the system set orientation and lock states? I can currently have it fixed to one side only but not follow system set orientation parameters. It will either be fixed or rotate freely depending on the accelerometer data. If this is fixed, the app is perfect!

Thank you for the fix! Now it really is perfect :P
I'm using Situations to autostart this app and of course it means that it will show the app once but after closing everything is fine. Maybe autostart can be done?

I'm publishing it also to harbour, so autostart is not possible. You can make own systemd service rule for autostart.

I will look into that and maybe post a quick overview here. Thanks for the hint!

great idea, would be nice option to set it on either side I want to :) (f.e. I would like to have it on the left edge (0 on the bottom, 100% on the top)) :)
