Similar to "Battery notifier" app, but without icon and have setting in Setting app (see screenshots).

How it work:
* Choose checking and notification interval (1-5min).
* Choose upper and lower limits.
* Apply button will apply your changes and will start service. You can see status will be changed to "active".
* Now you can change upper & lower limits without pressing Apply button..
* It will stop notification when you connect to power supply (if less than lower limit) or if you will change the lower limit in setting. Same for disconnect from power supply (if more than upper limit).

NOTES:
* "Battery notifier" app will be uninstalled automatically.
* From version 0.1-8 it's conflicting with "Charger control" app.

1. Can try to inplement...
2. I forgot to add this app to conflicts, because it work with the same files... I will update later...

Thanks for the latest version! It is nearly perfect when it comes with decent default values and should be stock on SFOS anyway to help manage good battery health!

I wonder if it would be possible to disable notifications but still have the program logic act upon the predefined values to switch to USBpower only ;)

Great work!

Schturman's picture

I can add switcher for disable/enable all notifications ?

MoritzJT's picture

That would be perfect :)

Schturman's picture

Ok, I thought a little bit, I will add this switchers only under "Stop charging" and under "Usb power only". Nevertheless this app for notifications :) Update later today.

Thank you a lot for updating so quickly and implementing this! I was wondering if we need a different solution for switching to USB power only on the Jolla C as this app will not work on Jolla C as intended. Can you tell me how it is done on Jolla phone? What files or commands are used? I will compare it to Jolla C

Thank's already!

Will you have a Jolla C or Aqua Fish at one point? I think we need to make the community divert resources to the modders and developers first! It will take a long time for patches and so on to be done when none of you has the device :)

Schturman's picture

Hi. My Jolla C on the way. But probably I will not get it until 25/07... If not, I will get it only after 2.5-3 weeks (vacation) and I will try to update.

You always can play with files: /usr/share/openrepos-batterynotifier

I am using SFOS 2.0.1.7. When i tried to install battery notifier i get the following error message.

transaction/3707_bbabccbb

Status: dep-resolution-failed

Extra details :

Batterynotifier2-0.1-5.armv7hl requires lipstick-qt5-tools, but this requirement cannot be provided.

How to install battery notifier in my jolla?

Schturman's picture

Activate dev mode and allow untrusted software. Now try again. Or try to install lipstick-qt5-tools manually as ROOT:.
pkcon install lipstick-qt5-tools

objectifnul's picture

Should be fine. However, SFOS 2.0.0.10 is the official release until further notice (not sure 2.0.1.7 will ever reach public status).

Schturman's picture

Yep, maybe you are right... Please show me output from v2.0.0.10:
rpm -qv sailfish-version
And I will repackage it...

objectifnul's picture
sailfish-version-2.0.0-10.34.10.jolla.noarch
Schturman's picture

Thanks, new version uploaded...

objectifnul's picture

Thanks so much. BTW what is the name of the process? (Just to check the RAM footprint)

Schturman's picture

u r welcome :)

Timer named batterynotifier.timer is enabled and active. It will start batterynotifier.service every 1-5 minutes (your choice). The batterynotifier.service will start script named runcommandbat.sh for checking. That's all ;)

objectifnul's picture

OK, so the footprint is zero except once per inteval for few seconds. Fine.

Schturman's picture

Yep... New version uploaded with small fix for minutes setting ;)
