CuteSpotify makes it possible to listen to your Spotify songs on Sailfish. It supports both online and offline playback.

A Spotify Premium subscription is required to make use of this application

Please be aware that currently the volume can only be changed while the application is in focus.

Changes in version 1.3.0-11:

  • Icon avoids aliasing issue on launcher
  • Adds support for playlist folders
  • Adds support for searching for playlists (this still needs a little polish, loading large playlists can make the UI briefly sluggish)
  • Fixes audio cut off at end of songs (might not be perfect, but should be a lot better).

Changes in version 1.3.0-12

  • Fixes detection of WLAN vs 2G/3G connection
  • Adds an option to clear the cache and offline storage when logged out (accessible via a pull down menu on the login page)
  • Adds shuffle and repeat switches to a push up menu underneath the small player view.

Changes in version 1.3.0-13

  • Fixes dependencies (these were broken in -12, causing new users to have silent playback)

Changes in version 1.3.0-14

  • Fixes settings path for Sailfish 1.0.3.8

Changes in version 1.3.0-15

  • Adds support for scrobbling to Last.fm (this can be enabled from the settings page).

Changes in version 1.3.0-16

  • Removes donation buttons
  • Adds sanity checks on cache path prior to deletion

Yep, eventually there'll be various different ways of displaying and sorting your playlists. In case you're not aware you can already look at artists and albums through the overall search facility (just pull down the menu, select "Search" and then tap on the "Tracks" combo box to select either Artists, Albums, Tracks or Playlists".

Hope that helps,

Mike.

Thank you, Mike

First - for your incredibly quick answer! :-)

Second - for your great work

and sorry, that I didn't understand, that the answer for my question lies in front of my eyes - as always - the biggest bug sits in front of the computer ;-)

Hi, this is really good, thanks Elleo!

Do you plan to work on the queue list? This is for me the most important feature from Spotify in general.

The fact that scrolling makes the Search field appear is excellent, this is something that we miss on many apps from Sailfish (People, Mail, Messages). Could you somehow get in contact with Jolla to try to get involved?

Cheers,

damourti

Hi!

I think I might have answered this on TMO, but just for completeness I'll answer here too :)

There will be a play queue in the large player view when that's finished, it might not work identically to Spotify's though.

Unfortunately the Mail, People, Messages, etc. apps are all closed source at the moment, so there's not really much I can do to contribute to those short of getting hired by Jolla ;).

Cheers,

Mike.
