gNewsReader

This is an RSS client. Originally for Google Reader, later for Feedly. No local feeds support, so it's currently pretty useless.

It doesn't work after disabling the old security protocols of the service, in favor of the more modern TLS 1.2 and higher, which is not supported on meego harmattan.

This client uses version 3 of feedly's API, which is still supported at the moment (spring 2023). If the support for modern security protocols (like TLS 1.2 or higher) on meego is solved in the near future, this client is very likely to work.

Below is an old description from 2019, when the client was still functional.

A RSS reader for the deceased Google Feed. Oddly enough it works, but now with the Feedly. There is a working two-way synchronization, as well as integration with Pocket and Instapaper.

If the application refuses to install 
in the usual way, then use other 
methods installation using 
debinstaller.

Seen features and problems:

• For new categories or added feeds to appear through this application, you need to restart it.
• Tapes added through the application automatically go to the "Uncategorized" category.
• The application does not represent the ability to change the category, however, like the function of transferring tapes to other categories.
• The list of favorites does not sync with feedly.
• Read status can be synchronizated with feedly. To do this, enable the "Unread filter global" option in the application settings.

I am not the author of this application.

P.s. please do not pay attention to the "Sailfish OS" in the status bar, forgot to remove it) It app work only with Meego Harmattan.

Это RSS клиент. Изначально для Google Reader, в последствии для Feedly.

Он не работает после отключения старых протоколов безопасности сервиса, в пользу более современного протокола TLS 1.2 и выше, которые не поддерживаются на meego.
Данный клиент использует третью версию API feedly, которая ещё актуальна на данный момент (весна 2023). Если проблема с поддержкой современных протоколов безопасности на meego будет решена, то данный клиент с большой вероятностью может заработать (пока API v3 сервиса будет поддерживается).

Ниже представлено старое описание от 2019 года, когда клиент ещё работал.

RSS-ридер умершего Google Feed. Как ни странно работает, но теперь с сервисом Feedly. Есть рабочая двухсторонняя синхронизация, а также интеграция с Pocket и Instapaper.

Если приложение отказывается 
устанавливаться обычным методом, то 
тогда воспользуйтесь другими методами 
установки с помощью debinstaller'а.

Замеченные особенности и проблемы:

• Чтобы появились новые категории и/или добавленные ленты через это приложение, нужно его перезапустить.
• Ленты, добавленные через приложение, автоматически переходят в категорию "Uncategorized".
• Возможность изменить категорию для лент приложение не предоставляет.
• Список избранных статей не синхронизируется с feedly.
• Статус "прочитано" можно сделать общим с feedly. Для этого включите опцию "Unread filter global" в настройках приложения.
• Затемненный текст статей можно сделать обычным, отключив опцию "Dark Article Theme" в настройках.

P.s. на надпись "Sailfish OS" в статусбаре просьба не обращать внимания, забыл убрать) Программа заработает только на Meego Harmattan.
