NEWS: Added latest KDBX 4 database support
Please report any problems you might have here. I use this version to test Keepass 2 write support with a wider audience. Though I do not see major problems with it and for myself switched also finally from using Keepass 1 to Keepass 2 database.
Are you tired of remembering all your different passwords? Or are you using everywhere the same one? If you stumbled over that - ownKeepass is the answer for you to keep track and securely store all your passwords for web pages, bank accounts, login credentials and all other stuff which need to be kept secret. You can share the database file with Keepass or KeepassX on your desktop system and maintain one single encrypted database wherever you are. You will only need to remember one very strong master password to open your database. ownKeepass reads and writes Keepass 1 and 2 databases. --- ownKeepass is open source software and released under GPL version 2. Sources are hosted at github:

Thanks, this is a nice Idea. I see the current usecase with some governments going nuts :)
I put it on github.

Not currently. I have also no plans to implement a QR code generator...

Beautiful App! :) On my jolla1 I've added:
onClicked: Qt.openUrlExternally(text)
in line 167 of ShowEntryDetailsPage.qml, so urls are now clickable. :)

The default timeout for password copy-to-clipboard is way too short (5 seconds).
Uninformed users may believe clipboard is just not working.

The defaut value is 30 seconds, but that applies only to users who install the app the first time.
I see the problem. In previous versions of ownKeepass the users have mostly disabled the timeout for clearing the clipboard because 10 seconds were too short. Now in version 1.1.14 the saved value for "disabled clipboard clearing" is mapped to the first timing interval of 5 seconds. :(
That might be confusing... Thanks anyway for reporting.

Hi, any update on this? I'm using KeepassXC on my Linux laptop and would like to sync with the Jolla using Syncthing, .kdbx would be pefect.
Thanks for the awesome app.
[Edit] Oh nevermind, I just noticed it's already implemented, perfect. Sorry for the noise.

Is there an easy way to import or adjust the database on the backend to load usernames and passwords from exports of other passwords managers like Passwdsafe to mention the best alternative android based option?

No, not within ownkeepass. But please try to import your data with a Keepass application on your Desktop (Linux, Mac or Windows). After that you can copy your database over to your phone.

Thanks jobe ill try that. One question, if you ever decide to stop support for this app will there be a way to access your passcodes without server support? is your app local based only?
By the way bidden passwords in card view show but should be hidden since within the app the eye simbol shows osed/hidde.

ownKeepass is locally based. Your keepass database is stored on the phone.
If I ever stop development there will be always access to the sources on github. So whoever want to continue then just can do that.
Dou you mean the home screen with app covers with "card view"? On the app cover the password is shown depending if it is configured so in the ownKeepass settings "Cover settings -> Show username and password".

Hi
Release 1.1.7 of ownKeepass got a major redesign of the internal database handling to be able to support Keepass 2 databases. While it works fine for me there might be bugs. So please, if you find anything not working correctly with either Keepass 1 or 2 databases write it down here. Or create an issue on github. Thanks for your testing :)

Hi,
I found that my kdb file from ownkeepass cannot be opened with KeePassX
(version 0.4.3 if that matters). From the app description it should be
compatible, right? Any experiences on that?

That is strange. KeepassX 0.4.3 should open your database without problems. I am using it also daily.
Are you using a key file? Maybe you forgot to specify also the key file with KeepassX?
