No luck, this happened again. Google Play app was updated automatically, even though automatic updates are switched off in Google Play's settings menu. Now I have two Poogle Play icons again.

Jolla c - working like a charm, no reboot required, just restart android support. In case of df-dla-15 error in play shop, reinstall and login again using existing google account.

Thank you coderus! Works after a couple of reboots and using app specific password instead of 2-factor authentication (that signin crashes).
So much easier than doing all this manually.
