PocketTransit is a Geological and Engineering Compass. PocketTransit for Sailfish records the strike and dip of the phone plane, and the trend and plunge of the phone long axis, and records GPS data with each measurement. Data are visible in a project list-view, a map display, and a stereonet display.

See https://pockettransit.wordpress.com for more information. Feedback welcome via the website or via pockettransit@gmail.com

Some functionality of PocketTransit Pro for iPhone which does not feature in the Sailfish version includes:

  • user-defined record types
  • photo records
  • waymarkers
  • email export of data
  • display of strike, dip etc symbolically on map
  • storage and display of measurement quality
  • advanced stereonet-based analysis
