Picross (Also known as Griddlers or Nonogram) is a logic game.
You'll have to discover the picture hidden behind numbers, corresponding to the length of every colored "cell group".
The only unknown is the space between every cell group, and this is where the logic appears.
Levels (At the moment, there are 40+ levels) are sorted by difficulty, and you have to complete one difficulty to unlock the next one.



  • Click on a cell: toggle between Full cell -> Hint cell  -> Empty cell
  • Click on a full green header: Line completion with Hint cell
  • Click on a header with orange numbers: Line completion with Full cell



  • Best time for each level
  • Auto save/reload
  • Guess Mode
  • Multiple/Slide Mode
  • Locked levels
  • Correctness indicators (Green = corresponds)
  • Pinch-to-Zoom
  • Line/column auto-complete (Full green = fill with hint, orange = fill with full)

Thanks Baspar. Highly addictive game you gave us!

I like the new UI of V1.1. But the arrows when there are more numbers in the top bar are too big for me. Can't you make them a bit smaller, and position them in the surrounding grid line? In the final game we have column 14 with 8 numbers, when scrolling there will only be 2 of them visible. Or maybe better: leave the arrows as they are now, do not scroll but show a pop-up with all the numbers when the arrow is tapped. Another tap and the pop-up disappears again.

This game will be perfect for the tablet. At least with my fingers. :)

For the next version (V1.1.1..  Because I am not very comfortable with versioning ^^') arrows will be moved to grid lines ;)

I'll investigate to find how make sort of a "popup" for your idea, but I really plan to use it, thanks ;)

Hi, I think you have made some typo when copying levels. I tried it with solver and as you see from column 6 there is misstake. https://bysmyyr.kapsi.fi/nono.png (spoiler)

and if I calculated right the column sum is 115 and row sum is 119.

Ah, i understand better the problem. It's because there is "to many indication": for the column 6, it's : "2 1 2 1 2", instead of "2 1 2 1".

For now, on this version of Picross, you can scroll throught the indicators (scroll vertically for top headers, and horizontally for left headers)

For next version, I'll try to show arrow when there's more numbers to show on headers.

Great game, but has a few bugs.

- The column header, i.e. the top row of numbers doesn't allow more than four numbers. Then there's a fitfh group it's not visible.

- Always gets back to tutorial levels after each completed level.

I find the UI for chosing level and level set slightly confusing. It's not obvious that it's possible to swipe both for Accept and for next level set depending on the swipe position.

Edit: Figured out the scrolling headers. Would need to be visually enhanced though.

I was also going to comment about the headers only showing 4 numbers, but noticed you beat me to it! Thanks for the scrolling tip. But it really could show more than 4 numbers, there's plenty of vertical space!

I will try to find a way for displaying the headers, but for now, i'll try to show some arrow when it id possible to slie.
I already solve the problem always showing tutorial instead of the last level, and i'm redesigning the "new game page". It'll be on the next release ;) (tomorrow)
