Scorecard application for Disc Golf (aka Frisbee golf, Frolf, Folf...).

Features:

  • Adding and deleting players.
  • Creating and editing courses.
  • Playing rounds with multiple players.
  • Viewing and editing played rounds.
  • Skipping holes (i.e. no need to have a number of throws on every hole in one round).
  • Some players can skip a hole (i.e. not all players need to skip, if one wants to skip).
  • Rounds are saved after each hole.
  • Showing best played result for each course for a player (only full rounds considered).
  • Showing best played result for a course (only full rounds considered).
  • When playing a round shows how much over/under par a player is for that course.
  • Supports Qt/QML translation files (Currently supported languages: English, Finnish, Russian)
  • Importing/Exporting the database
  • Sharing results via Gallery. I.e. image is taken from the results page that you can share with Gallery app.

This is a final release that I will be doing for this Sailfish version. My Jolla suffered horrible accident in 2016 and I've been unable to work on this project since. I'm releasing this version as it was nearly completed before the accident as it contains the ability to export the database. There probably are some bugs still that I did not catch, but importing and exporting should be quite robust.

This release will probably break the Russian translation and possibly Finnish one also. If you want to continue using this app, and don't need the import/export or results sharing, then I suggest you continue using the 0.5 version.

I'm currently working on porting this to Android and hopefully it will work in Sailfish also as it does not need any special permissions. This is the main reason I'm publishing this 0.6 version as the database import/export offers a migration path for Sailfish users.

Why not DiscGolfApp or Discgolfscore?

As a discgolfer myself I find your app potentially very interresting.

A couple of things I miss though:

1. A visual colored scorecard of a player and of a group after you hit Save in the end of the round.

2. Possibility to export your score (group score) in csv format

3. FB and Twitter export

4. Connection to DG directory

Thank you for your hard work ib making an ultimate DG app for JOLLA.

Sorry it took so long to answer, I've been a bit busy lately... Also this site doesn't seem to send notifications about a new comment, I'll check my settings if there is something that I missed...

As a name DiscGolfApp is a bit boring, I like DiscGolfTracker better. DiscGolfScore is a bit problematic as there's already a service named DiscGolfScores (or DGS for short) at www.discgolfscores.net, and that's a really popular site in Finland, so I don't want that anyone mistakes my app as an official DGS app.

And here's my answers to your ideas:

1. I'm currently working on a visual scorecard feature. I've been thinking that after hitting Save, it should display Results (or something like that) -button which would take you to the Scorecard page. Hopefully I'll have time to finalize it this weekend...

2. CSV export (and import) sounds like a cool idea. I'll add it into my backlog.

3. I'm not really heavy user of Social Media, so I'm a bit conflicted on the FB/Twitter support, but I'll add those also to my backlog.

4. Connection to DG directory was one of the first things I checked after the first public release. Unfortunately usually those cost money, which would mean that I would have to start collecting money from this app also. If you know any directory with sufficient quality (i.e. up-to-date course information globally) that's free, please tell me :)

I've been thinking about a better name for the application, and best I've come up with is: "DiscGolfTracker". It should fit in the application grid fully, and I do have some plans in the far future to include SportsTracker kind of functionality into this, so that you would see how much you've walked during the round etc.

What do you think? I'm open to suggestions for other names also :)
