This is a fork with updates of coderus https://openrepos.net/content/coderus/screenrecorder

I've updated the system units the Dbus configuration and some small adjustments to get it working with SFOS > 4.5

Please let me know if you have issues at: https://github.com/poetaster/screenrecorder

Note that sailjail is DISABLED for the service running in the background and the DBUS access from the top menu to work.

The daemon runs with 0% cpu when in idle state.

Original notes:

Application for recording screen to avi. Writing MJPG stream with user-defined scaling and compression options.

Be careful with recording full frames in 24 fps with no scaling, it may eat all free RAM after couple of minutes.

Application have topmenu widget.

Thanks to Crestfallen Scholar for svg icons!

Nice! Thanks for reviving it. It works well on the JP26. Something i noticed: A delay would be nice for a clean start. Maybe the same approach could be used to have a clean end, if it just cut off a configurable amount of seconds at the end? Would be very handy for capturing demo videos without having to edit with other tools.

"store all frames" could have a better name, I guess. Why would I only want to store some of them? :D Does it affect the frame rate?

edit: Actually clean start/stop is nearly possible with the cover buttons, I realized, if I demo my app cover first. Close enough.
