Fernschreiber is a Telegram client for Salifish OS

Fernschreiber (German for teleprinter, teletypewriter, teletype or TTY) connects you with the Telegram network. It's still in an early development phase, but it already supports many of the most popular features such as:

  • Chat list in order of last received message
  • Two-step authentication
  • Read standard text messages, pictures, videos. animated GIFs, animated and non-animated stickers, voice notes, locations, venues, polls and documents
  • Displays web page previews
  • Send text messages, stickers, reply to messages, attachments: images, videos, documents, polls, voice notes, locations (yes, more to come ;))
  • Edit messages
  • Delete messages
  • Search chats and messages
  • Display sent/read state of messages
  • Notifications
  • Contact support and device contacts synchronization
  • Secret chats
  • Mute/unmute chats
  • Join/leave chats
  • Pinned messages
  • Forward messages

  • @-mentioning support, use @<username> in the message field to search!
  • Easy emoji selection, use :<keyword> in the new message field to search for them!

Appears to be broken since yesterday - stuck on "updating content" status. Old GitHub issue indicating TDLib incompatibility due to server-side changes. Anyone else experiencing this?

Great app! When reading messeges the readed one get automatic status read ecept it a pull is the last message. Them there is always left one unteadef message.
..... and I'm really missing the audio call function. A lot of Telegram users are using it. Even support is done by this function. And to be honest Yollagram has not such a good usabillity than Fernschreiber.

Thank you, for great app! Please, may be not so hard to enable swipe left-right in user's photo's in account info? Now we need to open photo, then swipe back, then swipe to next preview, tap on it, open and again swipe back etc..

Love the app, and I'm using it on a daily basis - thanks a mil for Fernschreiber!
At the moment, there is only one feature I'm missing: folders! I've only discovered them recently in the desktop client, because I've joined an organisation that uses a lot of Telegram-channels to categorise communication, and being able to sort them into folders was a real improvement. Is this maybe a feature you might consider adding at some point in the future? (I have no idea how difficult that would be - maybe it's not feasible...)

Unfortunately you cannot get into groups from the browser, need the android app to do that. Can be solved?

I love it. But today I sent an audio notice and the receiving person couldn't hear anything. Sending such a message to myself works great.

That's due to a missing codec in SFOS. Haven't had time yet to build in the missing one in Fernschreiber.
