Sail Recorder (ScreenRecorder)
As you can guess from the name, it’s a screen recording app. Its philosophy is plug-and-play, with no need for any additional packages.

What conveniences does it offer?

If you want, you can start or stop it from within the app.
If you want, you can start and stop it using the Cover layout.
If you want, I think this part is called the top menu. Without even opening the app, you can simply add the icon that comes with SailRecorder when you install it here, and then start or stop the recording directly from there.

A user named NTHN previously reported an issue where the application's background services continued running even after the app was closed. This issue has now been fixed in the latest version. The watchdog services will no longer continue running after the application is closed.
Additionally, as a new feature, screen recordings now start after a 3-second countdown. You'll be able to see the countdown in the top menu, on the app cover, and within the application itself.
Tested on the Xperia 10 III, Jolla C2, and Jolla Phone 2026. If you experience any issues on your device, I recommend restarting it.

Thank you for this! I think windes was suggesting a little improvement in the description, i.e. to specify that it is a screen recorder - I, for one, initially thought it was a sound recorder :)

Ah yes, that’s partly my rookie mistake. I’d never used OpenRepos to publish an app before, so I had a bit of trouble figuring it out. I’m fixing it now!!!

It includes every feature you’d expect from a screen recorder.
