Ah ha, I had missed the classical player view. That pretty well covers all that I was asking about. The only thing missing is the time stamp for where the slider is moved too. Thank you

ABreen's picture

Hi, I Iike the way your app works. Congratulations on your app. I think there is a couple of things that could be added. Perhaps these functions are already incorporated.
The ability to see time run/time left to run from within the app like there is on the home screen.
The ability to drag the time run marker to any point within the podcast to allow the listener to move back or forward.
Thank you

cy8aer's picture

For the run/time left thing: This is a bit more complex but for the ability to go to every position of the podcast: There is a classical "player" view. You can reach it on the lower toolbar with the "right" button on the right hand side. There is a slider for the positioning. The lower keys are for seconds back and forth and the upper buttons for chapters. Chapters themselfs have a special view if you click on the title between the chapter keys (all if you have chapters of course)

Hi!

Since sailjail's implementation, without using openrepos it isnt possible to delete the cache (mashka or file manager do not have acces to those files).

So the non openrepos user can end up with uncontrolable amount of files lost in cache space...

What about the idea to put the downloaded tracks somewhere else than in cache? Thats how it is done with the app Podcatcher and its easier to manage and delete downloaded files...

Another idea would be 'clear cache' option within the app ...

yusssufff's picture

Hi! So i deleted the .local .cache and .config files you mentionned.

And then reimported 86 ppdcasts with OPML.

But now i have a big problem: when i close the app, all the podcasts are...gone!

cy8aer's picture

That is not your problem: this is a bug with the sandboxing. Try the just new uploaded version 2.71-0

yusssufff's picture

Thank you for the answer.

Since Sailjail, those ./config files are not appearing anymore in file browser...  Could you tell me the exact terminal commands to delete those files maybe?

Greetings and thanks

Hi!I am trying to get all my now 'ghost' downloaded podcasts erased. Since 4.4 and sailjail Mashka also deosnt help. Will erasing the PodQast app erase those ghost playlist?

cy8aer's picture

No, erasing the app and re-installing does not have any effect (not like e.g. for an android app). You need to erase all ~/.config/harbour-podqast, ~/.cache/harbour-podqast and ~/.local/share/harbour-podqast directories (eventually save the opml before to restore your podcast list)

yusssufff's picture

Hi!

I noticed one thing: if you delete a podcast from the librairy, but you had podcasts downloaded from this source this happens:

The already downloaded podcasts get removed from the playlist (thats fine i guess).

The downloaded (and now erased from playlist) podcasts stay in the memory :/...

So i wanted to erase all downloaded podcasts from one source to save space on my device. Instead of erasing them one by one i deleted the podcast source. but now its quite bad: they are 'ghost' downloaded files, forever filling the memory:(.

cy8aer's picture

Yes, that looks like a bug. By design the post itself should be listed but the downloaded audio file should be removed except it is a favorite (marked with a star)

I will file this as an issue.

yusssufff's picture

Cool.

Any idea how to do to erase those tracks now filling phone memory but that disapeared from the playlist? I tried adding again the pocast source, but it doesnt show those tracks as downloaded any more...

rob_k's picture

This looks like a great app! I like the concept of the playlist. But... On X10ii, 4.4.0.72, all the podcasts I subscribed to, have disappeared after closing the app. Sailjail problems?

yusssufff's picture

Hi!

On my main phone Xperia 10 II, after latest update from jolla store, only white screen is showing when i open the app :(

Right now sadly the app is therefore unusable...

Any idea what went wrong?

cy8aer's picture

try to install amber-qml-plugin-mpris

yusssufff's picture

Oh okay... And how do i do this?

cy8aer's picture

devel-su pkcon-install amber-qml-plugin-mpris

yusssufff's picture

okay! Thanks!

yusssufff's picture

Hi!

And thanks for great enjoyable app!

Since last update 2.60, the refresh of podcats on mobile data takes forever on my phone (xa2)... With wifi all good.

I use harbour version (jolla store)

cy8aer's picture

In settings you can find a parameter: load on mobile. If it is set and it still does not work then please write another comment (then it looks like a bug)

yusssufff's picture

Yes sure 'load on mobile' is 'on', and was on before update as well...

TrulloF's picture

I installed missing libraries (amber-qml-plugin-mpris) and now it works. Thanks for this great app. Best podcatcher for me period.

TrulloF's picture

4.4.0.72. I installed it on my 10II too (fresh install) and there it worked. Strange.

cy8aer's picture

Ok, I could understand if it was < 4.x because of the tab and mpris libraries. And it is device independent because of complete python code. Please let us wait for the harbour version. Probably I get some dependency advice from the harbour team.

TrulloF's picture

Had the previous version, which worked flawless for me.

cy8aer's picture

What SFOS version you are running?

TrulloF's picture

Got following output from terminal:
[defaultuser@XperiaXZ2Compact ~]$ sailfish-qml harbour-podqast
[D] unknown:0 - Using Wayland-EGL

Seems something is missing?

TrulloF's picture

I got a white screen when starting the app after last update. SFOS 4.4.0.72, Xperia XZ2 Compact.

cy8aer's picture

Do you know from which version you updated?
