Да, есть там и наречия, и прочие странные части речи, типа подчинительных союзов. Но их не так просто вычистить, как глаголы. С глаголами было сильно проще - ищешь слова, заканчивающиеся на ть, и почти все они, за редкими исключениями типа знать или стать, оказываются глаголами.

Hey Slava, Would the following dictionary be useful to add support for Polish version? https://sjp.pl/sl/odmiany/ (the actual file is https://sjp.pl/sl/odmiany/sjp-odm-20240624.zip ). It is a good quality dictionary with over 140,000 entries. Some Wordle online games do use it for Polish language support, e.g. this one: https://wordly.org/pl
Thank you!

I filtered out 5-letter words from the document you mentioned and here's what I came up with:
https://github.com/monich/harbour-wordle/pull/29/files
Please take a look at
dict/pl/words.txt
file in that PR - does it look sane to you? I already removed a few words from the original list, which didn't look Polish at all e.g. glögg and römer. There may be more junk in there, but I can't tell since I don't know Polish.tw_bolek

Hi Slava, yes, it looks sane. I would say that that it is safe to use it, or alternatively the list below. The source (SJP) is a community aimed at creating Polish dictionaries for word games. They mark each word as either suitable or not suitable for word games. The following 5-word list contains only words accepted by them as "suitable for word games", so maybe it would be even better to use: https://sjp.pl/sl/growe/?d=5 It lacks the words you mentioned (like glögg or römer, both actually are proper names of things originating from other languages, but they were marked as not suitable for games and are not included on the above list). Unfortunately that list is not available as a txt file so it must be grabbed from that page. P.S. The only problem I discovered were a few duplicate words, but that's all. So it would be really great if you could use it. And thank you very much for all your great work!

Works great, thank you so much! Just two remarks / requests: can you please switch places of Z and Y on the keyboard? QWERTY layout is commonly used in Poland. The second problem is that one letter is missing from the keyboard: Ź. In Polish there are two similarly looking letters: Ż (dot above Z) and Ź (apostrophe above Z). Only Ż is present, but Ź is missing. Can you please add it? Once again, thank you!

Would this work?
https://github.com/monich/harbour-wordle/pull/31
Would (optional) long-press menu for accented variants make life easier? That would make the keyboard buttons slightly larger and easier to hit, but on the other hand, typing an accented letter would take longer.

Hi Slava, I guess that the layout as shown on github would be quite unfamiliar / confusing to Polish users. I think that the best solution would be Portuguese-like layout, i.e. 4 rows, with 8 accented letters (ĄĘÓŚĆŃŻŹ) + Backspace in the top row, then normal QWERTY keyboard + "Ł" after L in the third line, Enter on the right in the bottom line. This IMO would be the most optimal layout. Once again, thank you very much!
Something like this would be perfect:

And on the game closing, it start new session, and clear statistics, it's planned? Can we not clear stats on close, only manually, please?

No, I didn't plan that but why not. It's not that hard to implement an option to clear the statistics/history on exit (or disable it altogether). I prefer to accumulate statistics over long periods of time and reset it manually, that's why it's done the way it's done.

Now that I've got my hands on Jolla C2 running the fresh 5.0.0.x build, I've been able to reproduce the problem with the history/statistics not surviving restart of the app. Looks like the
PublicDir
permission takes care of it. Version 1.1.5 should work right out of the box.UPD: meh, it's still borken. The sadbox doesn't seem to allow creating the
~/.local/share/harbour-wordle
directory. If that directory already exists, the app can store its files there, but it's not allowed to create that directory. Bummer!Sandboxing=Disabled
is the only way to really fix the problem.windes

IIRC that's for sensors. When you successfully finish the game and shake the device, the letters in the last (winning) row will start jumping:
https://github.com/monich/harbour-wordle/blob/de72633/qml/WordleFrontPanel.qml#L221
Last time I checked, there was no separate permission for sensors. Or there was but harbour apps were not allowed to request it directly, only indirectly e.g. via Camera.
I have to say that I'm generally skeptical about the whole permission thing in Sailfish OS, but it exists, there's nothing I can do about it, and if such a little stupid funny trick requires access to Camera then so be it.

It's easy enough (if not to say - trivial) to add a new dictionary, the problem is to find a good list of 5-letter words (or even better - 2 lists, as was explained earlier). I found one Polish list at https://mywordle.org/wordle-polish/ but it's clearly not a good one, e.g. it contains ttttt and other weird combinations of letters which don't look like Polish words at all.
