Emacs is a powerful, customizable, self-documenting, modeless text
editor. Emacs contains special code editing features, a scripting
language (elisp), and the capability to read mail, news, and more
without leaving the editor.

This package provides an emacs binary with no X windows support for running
on a terminal.

Saw that - ironic... Is your source the same as the one I linked?

Well, your first comment reminded me to do it.
Emacs being a GNU project, its main repository is not on github but on savannah (http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/emacs/). I use the official release tarballs to build my packages from http://ftpmirror.gnu.org/emacs/
I don't know if you had the same issue but qemu crashed when I tried to build it on the sdk so I built it directly on the device.

On-device here also. I am using the build I linked (v27.0), and working with spacemacs. Unfortunately, aarch64 termimals are rare at the moment, and emacs isn't very nice on Finger/Toe term, so I compiled karin Konsole from source, which has ability to use SF keyboard and touch input, so much preferred for emacs and MC, (although fn keys in karin dev kboard don't work on 4.1, so going to tackle that next)...

I found this - https://github.com/sailfishos-mirror/emacs - and built for aarch64, and working well, but latest version didn't make properly for me, so I used 27.0...

Actually I just uploaded a package for aarch64 to my repository

Where's source? I found Spacemacs on Github, but not emacs... Also nothing in NielDK's git
