My Sony XA2 is running with Sailfish 4.0. Now Watchlist does not show charts anymore. When tapping at a chart nothing happens. Also no news are found for any share even with “well-known” ones like Apple or SAP.
Could you check that?

AndyWuest's picture

Hi,

which backend are you using. I am currently having the same problem with security quote updates. Looks like the ING Api has changed. I need to investigate the problem, but this may take some time, since mine is limited at the moment.

Cheers,

Andreas

Jollafriend's picture

Hej Andreas, I am using Euroinvestor as data source. But I did not receive any error messages.

AndyWuest's picture

Hi,

are you still experiencing the problem? I just tested and apple works fine for me. Do you have some more stocks that do not work anymore? Is it possible that you can provide me a log file, if the error persists?

Cheers,

Andreas

When I tap on a chart it does not show up immediately. But when I minimize Watchlist and open the app again the chart is shown. The chart is also shown when I tap it and switch to the news or details subpage and return to the charts.
For news the it does not works like described.

AndyWuest's picture

Hi,

the news are broken at the moment - because the backend is no longer available (next version shows at least a proper message). Can you go to settings and check what is configured for "Download chart data" -> There you can configure when to download the data. Looks like only manually.

Cheers,

Andreas

Great app, thanks for your effort!

shinkamui's picture

This app is fantastic! Only request is for an option for stock news that ia in english. is this possible?

AndyWuest's picture

Hi,

stock news in english is possible. However we need a source for the news. If you can provide me one then i could implement that. However finding a source is most likely a problem especially if it is a free one. The source should meet the following conditions: JSON Format (i do not want to do screenscraping) and it should be accessable via the ISIN in the URL. If you have a source, you can send me that via dm or post it here.

Thank you for the great app, it is very useful! May I ask for one feature request? Is it possible to show Market data to the cover window?

AndyWuest's picture

Hi,

yes you can ask for feature requests. Do you mean top/flop market data on the cover page instead of the top/flop securities? It should be possible to implement that, configurable via the settings to choose either securities or market data. Or do you have something else in mind?

Cheers,

Andreas

magare's picture

Hi,
yes, that's exactly what I meant. For example, if I've added gold, silver and EUR/USD from the market data, I would like to be able to see and update them on the cover.

AndyWuest's picture

Hi,

i have created a ticket on github: https://github.com/andywuest/harbour-watchlist/issues/77

might take some time until i have finished that one - my time is very limited at the moment.

Cheers,

Andy

Hello, please consider applying for translation hosting at https://hosted.weblate.org/, this will make it easier for people to translate your application.

glanternier's picture

All sorted out with 0.8.2 release. Thanks ! :-)

glanternier's picture

Hello, in the last version 0.8.1-1 it seems that the intraday graph is in fact the last 3 months graph.

Bramba's picture

Dear Andy,

thank you very much for this great app! Unfortunately it seems not to be possible to add ETFs and funds into the watch list. Or did I just miss the affiliated option? :-)

An option to add ETFs and funds by WKN or ISIN-numbers would be awesome!

AndyWuest's picture

Hi Bramba, in general it is possible to support ETFs and funds, but i need a datasource for the information(in json) - if you can provide some i can have a look at it. At the moment i just do not have to look for a datasource.

Cheers,

Andy

Bramba's picture

Hi Andy,

thank you very much for your kind answer! I am sorry for my late reply, I was out of office during the last days. Onvista bank also provides information about funds (e.g. fund "Ökoworld Klima C" as an example).

Or don't they provide a json-compatible interface for such things?

AndyWuest's picture

Hi Bramba, they do not really provide a json compatible interface - there are some json services, but you would have to fetch each stock individually, which is quite ugly. if you have a good json source for the data i could use it, otherwise there is only the screenscraping possiblity, which i do not want to implement.

Cheers,

Andreas

glanternier's picture

Hello Andy, thanks for this great app! Could add the possibility to see variations (+ / - %) for cryptos?

AndyWuest's picture

What do you have in mind? Bitcoint, Ether, etc? I plan to add a Page with a market overview - where you can select the markets and currencies / cryptos, that are of interest (configurable). Bit this may take some time - so please be patient.

glanternier's picture

Yes exactly : Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin. Market overview page sounds great :-) Thanks for the great work!

Markkyboy's picture

Spelling error in Configure alarms page; Configuration hint: ........alaram......?

AndyWuest's picture

Thanks for the hint. I will fix that with the next version. Any else you would like improved / you are missing?

Cheers,
Andreas

Jollafriend's picture

In the detail page of a share it is possible to open a chart. But only the intraday chart. Would it be possible to add different charts (e.g. week, month, year, 3 years...)?
All shares are displayed by the order of increase/decrease per day. Would it be possible to sort by the name of the share?
And a "real" app icon would be nice.
I like your app! It is easy to understand and simple

AndyWuest's picture

Hi,

icon should be available with just release 0.3.2 - also the sorting can now be configured in the settings dialog.

Cheers,

Andreas

Jollafriend's picture

Hej Andreas, yes the new icon is abvailable and it definitely looks better than before. Thanks for realizing the sorting by name that fast!

AndyWuest's picture

Hi,

i am already working on the feature to get more charts (monthly / yearly / etc). Will most likely be ready for 0.4. I will add the possiblility for sorting by name or by change in the next version to the settings page. Thanks for the idea.

The icon is definitely a problem. somebody contributed one - but i am not happy with it - so i guess you will have to wait a little bit for that one, since my graphic skills are very limited.

glanternier's picture

Great ! Thanks :-)
