This application is not supported anymore. In case there are any issues with installer, you are free to unpack the installation pack and fix those.

Annoyed by repeating warning about high volume while listening music? This application installs minor configuration change that removes the warning and keeps volume on a level set by user.

Intructions and features:

  • Download package eu-soundlimit-disabler (linked below)
  • Install package
  • It will stop sounds currently playing and music player and other sound sources have to be restarted.
  • Does not prevent system updates
  • STILL BETA VERSION. PLEASE REPORT ANY ISSUES BELOW ON COMMENTS.

No mention of OS. This is for SailfishOS, right?

This installs a service on the device which executes a script after reboot. The script uses a command "gconftool-2" which is not installed on the device. It seems that nowadays "dconf read" should be used.

Thanks! It's good to know it really works after several updates too. I'll check what there is wrong that requires reinstallation.

Has worked great so far, but I guess it has to be reinstalled after every OS upgrade.
