Hi Schturman

Ok, thanks.

Hi. Sorry, I don't have time to play with this stuff anymore.
You can do what you want.

Hi, does this work for you anymore? I've tried rebooting, applying, re-installing and I cant get it wo work with Sailfish OS 3.2.0.12 Torronsuo. Before this Sailfish version it has worked great!

Same for me. This patch should definitely be built into SailfishOS. Who needs these stupid suggestions anyway!? :-P

goldenm's picture

Oh, now it works for me as well! I had to reboot my xperia today so maybe it did the trick. Sorry :)

goldenm's picture

It worked a couple years, but not anymore on 2.2.1.18. I'm using Patchmanager 3 Beta, applying this patch fails. Can you update this? Thanks in advance!

Schturman's picture

Hi. It work for me without any changes on all my 3 devices. Tested with pm2 and one with pm3. Applying/unapplying without any problem. What version you used and what version of pm3 ?

goldenm's picture

Hi! Can you make this compatible with v2.0.4.x ?

For me it says now that applying patch failed.

This is otherwise a great patch, 5/5! :)

Schturman's picture

Yes, I will update it...

Here is the output of the cat command:

Schturman's picture

yep, the file is different. Show me output of this command:
rpm -qv jolla-xt9
and I will create version for 2.0.2.11

ph03n1xm's picture

The output is the following:

jolla-xt9-0.5.2-10.14.3.jolla.armv7hl

Schturman's picture

Ok, try this package: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rlkzb5863jfqlg5/sailfishos-hide-word-suggestio...
Don't forget to run this command as USER after applying/unapplying patch:
systemctl --user restart maliit-server.service
Report here, if it work like expected, I will add package to this page.

Great, working fine! First i had problem with activation, and noticed shortly after, that i must active hide word suggestions in the settings/text input too (after patch was enabled and maliit service was restarted)

Great work, thanks!

Schturman's picture

Please, can you show output of:
cat /usr/share/maliit/plugins/com/jolla/TopItem.qml > /home/nemo/topitem.txt
I did update that can hide paste line if clipboard button not have text.
Doesn't matter, already updated ;)

Schturman's picture

Good, I will update my page ;)

ph03n1xm's picture

Could you check the package please? It seems, it is broken:

Schturman's picture

It's because packagr for Sailfish version 2.0.2.45 ;)

ph03n1xm's picture

Ah, mea culpa...

Schturman's picture

If you on 2.0.1.11, paste output of this file /usr/share/maliit/plugins/com/jolla/Xt9InputHandler.qml on pastebin.com
cat /usr/share/maliit/plugins/com/jolla/Xt9InputHandler.qml > /home/nemo/handler.txt
You will find handler.txt file in /home/nemo. Just copy and paste on pastebin.com. I will try to create package for 2.0.1.11
