This is a fork of fooxl'S syncthing-bin, to have a few updates. Best use it together with fooxl/syncdings.

The package contains the binary downloaded from syncthing.net.

Syncthing replaces proprietary sync and cloud services with something open, trustworthy and decentralized. Your data is your data alone and you deserve to choose where it is stored, if it is shared with some third party and how it's transmitted over the Internet.

I installed syncthing using the following steps. Use devel-su where needed.

  1. download the `Linux ARM64` package from `https://syncthing.net/downloads/`.
  2. Extract the tar.gz. - Copy the `syncthing` file to `/usr/bin`.
  3. Copy the `archive/etc/linux-systemd/user/syncthing.service` file to `~/.config/systemd/user/`.
  4. `systemctl --user enable syncthing.service`
  5. `systemctl --user start syncthing.service`
  6. Check the status with `systemctl --user status syncthing.service`

To configure syncthing using the GUI, run from your desktop:

  1. `ssh -L 8385:localhost:8384 nemo@x.x.x.x`
  2. Open your browser pointing at `localhost:8385`.

This installation is documented at `https://docs.syncthing.net/users/autostart.html#using-systemd`.

Thank you. Got Syncthing working on my brand new Xperia 10 with yout hints. Syncthing is system critical. Absolutely.

Thanks for updating it.

I didn't realize anybody is still using it.

I'm now using the update mechanism of syncthing itself.

If this is a more robust way, I'm happy to update my workflow. Which exact package(s) do you run on Sailfish and how do you trigger updates fooxl?
