Maybe you could use the Noto Sans Armenian font, I think it looks nicer and it fits in better with the Source Sans fonts of Sailfish.

See here:

Short answer: չէ, կներես։ (no, sorry)

Long answer:

thank you, i did not know about those fonts. checked them out.

do you know Armenian? by looking at these google's fonts it comes to my mind, that they were developed by people who don't read Armenian. Of course, I think, fonts developed by native speaker must be better. And I believe Tarumian's fonts are one of the best fonts ever. He also contributed to dejavu-fonts, so you can try out those as well.

I don't remember, may be my package contains only Grqi fonts (classical book font), and not the more popular version - Arian AM. (The name Arial was problematic because of IP/patents/smth issue). This is the link: http://arian.tarumian.am/

btw, Tarumian also made patches for droid-fonts, where he did develop Armenian glyphs to fit the font, for Sans, Sans-Serif and Monospace variants, but unfortunately we were kicked back and forth from Google to Ascender (corporation which developed the droid fonts originally), and eventually they said that they don't accept third party contributions.

Though the upstream patches were not accepted, because of the license we were able to publish fonts with Tarumian's patches, and I believe you can find those here http://hy.am/armenian_on_android#download in those packages.

Instead some time later, in Android 4 Armenian glyphs appeared in default fonts, but only Sans, and much worser, than Tarumian's. Actually I think those default Armenian fonts in Androids are just awful.

These Noto's are also not inspiring to me.

You however can prepare a package for them if you want, and you can use my .spec files to build rpm format packages.

Sorry.
