Kodi is an award-winning free and open source home theater/media center software and entertainment hub for digital media. With its beautiful interface and powerful skinning engine, it's available for Android, BSD, Linux, macOS, iOS and Windows. https://kodi.tv/

Known Issues (some issues only apply to the old version):

  • If you're updating from the old version to the new delete the old configuration (e.g. Settings->Interface->Restore above settings to default or rm -rf ~/.kodi) in order to get UI scaling proper.
  • A mouse cursor shows up in the top left corner. You can disable it by disabling touch and mouse input in Settings (Touch input will still work).
  • Please always close via the GUI option to close kodi. Otherwise kodi will hang and therefore be unable to start up for a while (seconds).
  • The estuary skin can be hard to navigate, switch to the estouchy or other touch skin.
  • Scrolling is somewhat broken, use the slider to scroll (will be fixed soon, as well as touch gestures).
  • LiveTV requires an additional PVR addon. You can find it here: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=96773

On sfos 4.4.0.58 cannot install it because of libgif4 missing. I tried symlinking it to libgif7 but this doesn't work. It won't install

Thanks, this worked. After that package I was able install Kodi too.
However, it doesn't start. On console it throws an error: 'Missing required qt_surface_extension protocol.
/usr/bin/kodi: line 219: 2876 aborted'

I'll try to upload crashlog if you need that.

When installng on XA2 (sfos 4.3) I am getting error: "Nothing provides 'libcrypto.so.10' needed by the to be installed kodi-18.7-Leia.armv7hl". Any advice to solve it?

you may try to create symlinks of the library that is not provided anymore to the new one .so.1.1 or install https://openrepos.net/content/lpra7/openssl-102-legacy-jollaphone-x-xa2

Im on an fxtec pro1, an my screen i not only 180degrees off in rotation, it is also a bit stretched. Looking forward to a fix. :)

Videos cannot be automatically scaled, which is no problem in previous versions.

And when playing h265 video on xa2, there is only sound, is there anyone else?

The orientation is reversed on the F(x)tec Pro1: when keyboard is slid out, Kodi is upside down.
