is there any reason that the app requires SFOS4.5 or shouldn't it work with older versions, too?

If it should work with older versions then adding %define _binary_payload w2.xzdio in the .spec file and .yaml file is required to switch rpm compression back from zstd to xz (older SFOS cannot handle zstd) https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/q-4-5-will-switch-rpm-compression-what-do...

I get "Could not load page" just after firing up. Any suggestions why?

Xperia 10ii@Sailfish 4.5.0.19

I had the same issue. The error is:

[W] unknown:1283 - file:///usr/lib64/qt5/qml/Sailfish/Silica/PageStack.qml:1283:13: QML AnimatedLoader: (file:///usr/share/picoplayer/qml/pages/VideoPlayer.qml:6:1: module "org.nemomobile.mpris" is not installed
    import org.nemomobile.mpris 1.0
    ^)

To fix it:

$ devel-su
# pkcon install mpris-qt5-qml-plugin

thanks thought everyone has it installed, will fix

try to start picoplayer in fingerterm (terminal):

[nemo@Sailfish ~]$ picoplayer

then you should see output of stdout and stderr in terminal

The very last update (4.5.0.21) solved the issue somehow. Still - 10x again!

Added directories under home are not shown. Am i missing something, or is this a feature?

Mister_Magister's picture

Thank Jolla for that :)

need to add

[X-Sailjail]
Sandboxing=Disabled

to /usr/share/applications/microtube.desktop

i'm too busy/lazy to update app

Blumenkraft's picture

Okay, didn't think of Sailjail prohibiting things again. Thanks!

By the way, nice little app. I like it.

Mister_Magister's picture

thanks! yep with sailjail, even if you allow app to access files, it cannot access files because who needs logic right?

Picoplayer would perhaps be perfect with one or two cover actions. Otherwise I like it a lot, thanks for updating!

ferlanero's picture

It already has 2, hasn't it? You know: Play & Pause

Mister_Magister's picture

What cover actions do you requrie sir?

benclark06's picture

nice app, thanks.

wpeberg's picture

Since the last Sailfish OS update, Picoplayer does not play vidros anymore, returns immediately to homescreen. Using Jolla C, otherwise very nice app :-)

done

Mister_Magister's picture

It is probably same reason as microtube. I'm on it!

retro486's picture

Exactly was i was looking for. The gesture control took a minute to get used to but this plays SD card videos perfectly.
