Keyboard overlap fix?

Bocephus's picture

Great update! Thank you!

If you can't install this without help, it's clear indication you're not at a level where you even need it. Stick to the GUI...

Funny, pkcon ended with same error but now Installation did.work

Upp15's picture

The install stil complains "qt-components-qt5-2.0.15-1.9.29.armv7hl.rpm not found" !?

ROZZ's picture

Did you try "pkcon refresh"?

Upp15's picture

That did the trick, thanks !

Yes, you can.

I can't believe we needed to wait over 4 years for this terminal upgrade to come to Sailfish, I wish it'd been like this from the start. I don't see a reason to ever use the original again.

naytsyrhc's picture

I like this terminal very much as well. Nice work. A feature wish: how about adding a second drag gesture with two fingers? So one could use one touch drag for selecting text and double touch drag for scrolling?

ROZZ's picture

Nice idea, I'll try to do it

naytsyrhc's picture

Sorry, but I can't figure out how to access settings page. The dot on the right seems to show me a swipe left gesture should do the trick, but doing so doesn't help. Any hint?

ROZZ's picture

I wanted to do the swipe at first, but terminal input seemed to break after that, so I removed it

TMavica's picture

If app keep stay in multitask, the keyboard inside the apps will overlap the screen, have u experienced?

ROZZ's picture

What do you mean by "overlap the screen"? Perhaps you have "fade" mode enabled in settings?

TMavica's picture

raised a issue in github, I post a screenshot
https://github.com/R-033/toeterm/issues/6

objectifnul's picture

Yup. No swipe gesture here. Tap the dot instead.

naytsyrhc's picture

Oh. Thanks. Didn't try that. Worked.

objectifnul's picture

No keyboard at all here :-(
(v1.3-1)

Edit - Keyboard setting was set to OFF after update... Weird.

sdiconov's picture

When you switch English keyboard to Russian the keys are drawn beyond the screen border as the layout contains a little bit more buttons. Restarting toeterm seems to fix it. The width of the keyboard should be reassesed upon switching

ROZZ's picture

Fixed

Could you add an i486 package, too? I can test in case anything's broken.

Upp15's picture

For me the installation complains about 'qt-components-qt5-2.0.15-1.9.29.armv7hl.rpm not found' !?

EDIT: The phone is Xperia X, and Sailfish is up to date.

Any chance of getting powerline characters to show up? I have the font installed and enabled in config file. It just doesn't render these.

(show the user a finger, he takes the hand...)
Selectable color schemes would be nice if it is possible, like solarized dark and light (http://ethanschoonover.com/solarized).

Your terminal is better than the native one and it works with hack (https://sourcefoundry.org/hack/) with the last font patch.
Thank you!
