aria2 is a utility for downloading files. It has a segmented downloading engine in its core. It can download one file from multiple URLs or multiple connections from one URL. This can be used to speed up downloads with certain networks. The engine in was implemented in a single-thread model.

Finally a download manager for Sailfish, have to try it out first but I think I will be back with some feature requests, thank you so much for this, hopefully one last android app to use
Quite nice app, but I think a GUI would just be amazing for novice terminal users like myself...
In anticipation of this implementation I remain greatful for your work

yeah, well, merproject seems to have f.... up my i486 repository there, a nd I am unable to again enable it to build for that architecture ??

You can't add it anymore via "Add Repository" dialog. But you can add it manually in Advanced -> Meta of your (sub)project

I know it, I already had it on my old Jolla phone. By the way, the old version (1.18.10-1) has no update candidate (according to Warehouse).
