  • Transmission doesn't bundle toolbars, pop-up ads, flash ads, twitter tools, or anything else.
  • It doesn't hold some feaures back for a payware version.
  • Its source code is available for anyone to review.
  • We don't track our users, and our website and forums have no third-party ads or analytics.

Hi,

I.onstalled transmissions and Clutch and after I uploaded a torrent it that the files are more.than.9GB big and there was no space. I.deleted the torrent task but it appeared that the whole syatem data partition is fulled up. I removed both transmission and clutch but it didn't help. Pleas help me to clean up this mess.

When I try to install this, it gives me an error. "Transmission- daemon-2.92-10.24.1.jolla.armv7hl requires libevent-2.0.so.5, but this requirement cannot be provided"

BTW guys I have installed it but no GUI? I do not see any icon, is it terminal based?

dipesh's picture

For UI;
1) open terminal and start transmission using eg "transmission-daemon"
2) open webbrowser and surf to http://127.0.0.1:9091

see https://trac.transmissionbt.com/wiki/WebInterface

p.s. would rock if the rpm ships a small app that allows start/stop of daemon + uses QtWebKit to display that webUI. Great work as usual, thanks NielDK!

debexpert's picture

Yep thanks a lot but I knew the solution, asked to my IP team at office xD .What I was asking to Niel was a Qml/Qt interface. I will do it later ;) Thanks indeed

NielDK's picture

Thanks for this information :)

I am looking at Qt development at the moment, and possible I can figure it out LOL

BTW, edit ~/.config/transmission-daemon/settings.json to allow remote access, otherwise you can only use 127.0.0.1 (localhost)

Thanks mate! You rock

I get this error while installing:

[nemo@localhost Downloads]$ pkcon install-local transmission-2.82-1.armv7hl.rpm

OK. Got it installed via warehouse.

Do you plan to build a gui as well ?

Thanks !

Reinstall openssl

bandix400's picture

Why Openssl ?

> rpm -q --list openssl | grep lib

>

there is no lib in the openssl package ...

NielDK's picture

oh yes there is :)

debexpert's picture

Ah guys nothing to do with zypper (libevent). Now downloading from the web page on PC both libevent and transmission rpm

NielDK's picture

depends on libevent, install with

devel-su
zypper in libevent

(install zypper with pkcon install zypper)

basil's picture

Since libevent is also at your repository, you can add it to specs file as install dependency, so no extra actions(pkcon/zypper) will be required.
