emacs
GNU Emacs is an extensible, customizable text editor—and more. At its core is an interpreter for Emacs Lisp, a dialect of the Lisp programming language with extensions to support text editing. The features of GNU Emacs include:

Thanks for emacs! Really useful for editing specs and configs on Jolla Phone via SSH (not too usefull via fingerterm with VKB).

Thanks! Works in the terminal, but most practical when logged in on Jolla from outside.

Can you start it from terminal (emacs) ?
Meanwhile, Iam looking at this to do a small update. I believe the /usr/share/applications/emacs.desktop file might be wrong in this version ....
content of /usr/share/applications/emacs-desktop should be:

Hi the app dos not work on my Jolle. installation runs ok, but when i try to open the app it just closes down.
