A self-built version 0.5.8 works fine on SFOS 4.2 and Xperia10DS

DrYak's picture

Maybe it would be a good idea to put that in sailfish-chum for posterity?
(So it will keep autobuilding for newer SFOS release as long as that still works and/or until Kimmoli jumps in and upgrades)

shults's picture

Is it working?

shults's picture

Is it working on Koli?

DrYak's picture

Just to confirm my hypothesis, if I copy around:

  • libcontextkit-statefs-qt5.so
  • libqtaround.so.0.2.11
  • libqtaround.so.2
  • libstatefs-qt5.so

From an old backup and put them into /usr/share/harbour-chargemon/lib, it works.

DrYak's picture

Curently, `libcontextkit-statefs-qt5.so` seems to be missing in SFOS 4.0.1 Koli and hrabour-chargemon fails to start.

(Deprecation has started already back in 3.3.0: https://lists.sailfishos.org/pipermail/devel/2020-May/009188.html )

Apparently, there's now a `nemo-qml-plugin-contextkit-qt5` that could be leveraged by apps instead.

Let's see if Kimmoli can manage to adapt charemon.

Inoi T8 tablet - nonsense values shown. What info is needed to add proper support?

kimmoli's picture

Currently the device specific data is built in to the code.

https://github.com/kimmoli/chargemon/blob/master/src/cmon.cpp#L98

Also check the old pull requests how to add new devices.

nephros's picture

Nice, thank you!

nephros's picture

I can see you have a source release with support for xperia 10, but no package here. Would you kindly build one and release here?

nephros's picture

Oh, ignore me, I see the Jolla store has the 0.5.5 version available.

Cool. Thanks for this app.

kimmoli's picture

Now here too

w_oe's picture

Works nicely on Xperia XA2, thanks!

Historyscholar's picture

I wan to translate your app?How can I do it?

kimmoli's picture

It would need partial redesign, as it has no translation support currently.

But if you can provide simple list of strings in current english and your language, create issue in github and put the list there, maybe it could trigger me doing this.

Historyscholar's picture

Thanks !

Hello !

What would be needed in order to make this app work on Sony Xperia X with Sailfish X ?

Thanks for your work.

DrYak's picture

I had a look at your source-code on github.

If I have some time, I'll see the Xperia equivalent, and send you a pull request.

eriklundin's picture

DrYak, I have added support for Xperia X Compact in Charge Monitor, but before I submit a pull request I thought that maybe you would like to test if it also works for the Xperia X. I added the model number for that as well but have no Xperia X to test on. The rpm can be downloaded from https://jirafeau.net/f.php?h=2Jsf0T_k&d=1 if you feel crazy enough to try it, otherwise I'll submit a separate pull request with support for the Xperia X as work in progress so you get a chance to build it yourself.

kimmoli's picture

Thanks

Updated app here.

kimmoli's picture

Ok, have to check. propably the device detection fails.

kimmoli's picture

Added Aquafish device types.

kimmoli's picture

I updated this also to 0.4.3, which supports Jolla C.
This is available in Jolla Store too.

I have both, C and AquaFish devices, but haven't yet tested with AquaFish. It should be "same" as C though.

shults's picture

It is not working

shults's picture

On AquaFish it is freezed and sometimes shows strange values (very small numbers)

shults's picture

It is not working on Aqua Fish.
