ReadyMedia (formerly known as MiniDLNA) is a simple media server software, with the aim of being fully compliant with DLNA/UPnP-AV clients. It is developed by a NETGEAR employee for the ReadyNAS product line.

Got error when trying minidlna -R
errorwhile loading shared libraries: libavformat.so.53: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I got errors for shared libraries libavformat and libavutils. Version on my phone and version expected by this package is different. I tried creating symbolic links, but it did not work. I am sure you will resolve this.
This is actually great idea. I am eager to use this with Raspberry PI. Hope it gets resolved soon.
Can I install gcc using pkcon and then build minidlna from source? How much space would gcc take?

Can't install, (requires libavformat.so.53, can't be provided) Can anything be done to get this to instal? Am I missing something?

well,
as root (devel-su)
zypper remove minidlna
will remove it :)
