Asteroid Touchdown

A precision lunar lander, ported from the AsteroidOS smartwatch game.

Tilt the phone towards you to fire the main engine, away from you for the retro thrusters, and sideways to drift. Touch down slowly and level on the yellow pad to unlock the next level. Hit a rock, land too fast or too tilted, and you become a crater.

The pad moves further away and shrinks with every level, and the rocks get rougher. From level 10 a UFO patrols at your altitude and nudges you off course.

Every level keeps your best time. Land on successive levels without crashing to build a combo stash; your best combo is kept too.

Swipe the app away and the flight keeps running in its cover on the home screen.

Youtube Video (the AsteroidOS watch version)

The app asks for camera access only because that permission includes the motion sensors on SailfishOS; the camera is never used.

The SailfishOS port, as well as the original AsteroidOS game, were written with an LLM coding assistant, directed and play-tested by the author; the cover art is AI-generated. Details in the repository.
