Patch personal ringtones in contacts pulldown menu

Personal Ringtones (no app)

Per-contact ringtones for Sailfish OS, set directly in the Contacts app. No extra app or plugin required.

Features

• Custom ringtone: Pull down on a contact card and choose “Set ringtone”. The tone applies to all of the contact’s numbers.
• Silent: Choose “no sound” in the ringtone dialog and the contact won’t ring.
• Important contact: Rings even in Do Not Disturb mode.
• Reliable number matching: 0171… in the contact also matches calls shown as +49171….
• Menu texts in English and German.

Notes

• Tested on Sailfish OS 5.1.0.11, 32- and 64-bit.
• Reboot after enabling.
• Disable before an OS update.
• Important contacts do not ring in the Silent profile. That requires the Personal Ringtones package (version 1.3.0 or later), which works alongside the patch and also adds random ringtones.
• Uses the same settings as CODeRUS’ Personal Ringtones app, so existing assignments are kept.
