Snapdrop Web App is a client for the free and open source local file sharing solution https://snapdrop.net/.

Do you also sometimes have the problem that you just need to quickly transfer a file from your phone to the PC?

USB? - Old fashioned!
Bluetooth? - Much too cumbersome and slow!

Nice app. Does it also work for transfer from PC to phone? I could not find transfered files that way, what is the path?

This is a WebRTC app, you can use it to transfer files between Linux, Windows, Sailfish, Android, whatever.
