VideoWorks

VideoWorks is a workbench for editing, filtering, compositing video. It relies on ffmpeg (via python) for the heavy lifting.

It is part of an initiative to provide some powerful multimedia tools in line with Imageworks and Audiocut. Among its features are:

    all the basics: trim, cut, pad, resize, speed
    add overlays: video, image, label or audio
    create storylines, slideshows, thumbnails
    create subtitles or add from file
    create splitscreen videos
    add transparency "greenscreens"
    extract audio files or mix in new tracks
    record audio as overlay comment
    apply effects or color filters
    re-encode files...
    animated gif export. Yeah.

INSTALL: Unless you install from obs/chum, you may also need to install ffmpeg and ffmpeg-tools.

VideoWorks was originally authored by  Tobias Planitzer and is maintained and developed by Mark Washeim (poetaster).

INSTALL: Unless you install from obs/chum, you will may need to install ffmpeg and ffmpeg-tools, manually. This SHOULD been done for you from version 0.4.2. 

In a terminal:

devel-su zypper install ffmpeg ffmpeg-tools
